A common superficial fungal lesion of keratinized tissues - the stratum corneum of the epidermis, hair and nails - caused by specific filamentous dermatophyte fungi and defined as dermatophytosis.

In the common human understanding, the word dermatology is a science that studies the various structures and functions of the skin, mucous membrane, hair and nails. In addition, the field of study of dermatology includes diagnostics and treatment of all of the above.

Medication dependence is a condition in which a person has a physical and/or psychological need to take certain medications on a regular basis, regardless of whether or not they have a medical indication to use them.
