Polymyositis and dermatomyositis are rare systemic rheumatic diseases characterized by inflammatory and degenerative muscle changes (polymyositis) or muscles and skin (dermatomyositis). The most specific skin manifestation is a heliotrope rash.

Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is a rheumatic disease characterized by pain and stiffness in the neck, shoulders and hips. This disease is more common in adults over 50 years of age. 

Polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (catecholaminergic) is a malignant arrhythmia caused by the presence of ventricular tachycardia of at least two morphologies and induced by physical exertion or by the administration of isoproterenol. It is accompanied by syncopal conditions, has a high risk of sudden arrhythmic death. The family variant of polymorphic catecholaminergic ventricular tachycardia is presumably considered a hereditary disease.

Polymorphic photodermatosis clinically combines the features of solar prurigo and eczema arising from exposure to the sun. Disease, in general, develops under the influence of UVB, sometimes UVA rays.

Hydramnion is a condition characterized by excessive accumulation of amniotic fluid in the amniotic cavity. With polyhydramnios, the amount of amniotic fluid exceeds 1.5 liters and can reach 2-5 liters, and sometimes 10-12 liters and more.

Syndromes of polyglandular insufficiency (autoimmune polyglandular syndromes, syndromes of polyendocrine deficiencies) are characterized by competitive disruption of the function of several endocrine glands.

Polynarcomania (poly-dependence) is a disease associated with the use of two or more narcotic drugs at the same time or in a certain sequence, and to all of them a dependence is formed.

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a multifactorial heterogeneous pathology characterized by irregularities in the menstrual cycle, chronic anovulation, hyperandrogenia, cystic ovarian changes and infertility.
Stein-Leventhal syndrome (syndrome of ovarian hyperandrogenia of non-tumorous genesis, polycystic ovaries) is a disease that is isolated in an independent nosological form by SK Lesniy in 1928 and in 1935 by Stein and Leventhal.
Polycystic kidney disease is a hereditary, bilateral lesion characterized by the replacement of the renal parenchyma formed by multiple cysts of different size in the cortical layer.
Autosomal recessive polycystic disease, also known as polycystic kidney disease in children, is a hereditary disease of newborns or young children characterized by the development of multiple cysts in both kidneys and periportal fibrosis.
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease of adults, or, as it is often called, polycystosis of the kidneys of adults, is a hereditary kidney disease characterized by the presence of multiple cysts in both kidneys.

Polyarthritis - inflammation of the four joints and more. It can be the main manifestation of diseases of the joints themselves, primarily RA and psoriatic arthritis, but it is also found as one of the symptoms of a wide variety of rheumatic and non-rheumatic diseases.

Among the allergens of biological origin, the pollen of plants occupies a prominent place. In humans, it causes an allergic disease called pollen.
Pollinosis in children is largely genetically determined by the key pathogenesis - increased IgE synthesis. It has been shown that the ability for increased production of IgE is inherited by a recessive-dominant type and is necessary, but not the only condition for the formation of allergies to pollen of plants.

Poliomyelitis [from the Greek .polio (gray), myelos (brain)] is an acute viral anthropo-infectious disease with a fecal-oral mechanism of transmission of the pathogen, which is characterized by a predominant lesion of the motor neurons of the spinal cord and brain with the development of paralysis.
Poisoning as a result of accidents and intentional self-inflicted (deliberate) poisoning are a common reason for contacting emergency departments and a number of deaths.

A frequent complication of poisoning is tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, pneumonia. The brain suffers, psychoses develop. The results of the tests indicate a strong intoxication of the body.
