Pills for acute cystitis

Inflammation of the bladder is accompanied by pain in the urinary tract, spasms, and urination disorders. To alleviate pathological symptoms and eliminate pathogens, drug therapy is carried out. Various forms of drugs are prescribed for treatment, but most often tablets. For acute cystitis, the following drugs are effective:
Drotaverine
A medicinal product with the active component drotaverine hydrochloride. It has antispasmodic activity against the smooth muscles of the urogenital system, gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, and the smooth muscle layer of blood vessels. It promotes tissue relaxation by expanding the lumen of blood vessels and improving oxygen supply to them.
- Indications for use: spasms and pains of a spastic nature of various etiologies. Pain in cystitis, proctitis, pyelitis, urethrolithiasis, intestinal colic. Vasodilator for spasms of the smooth muscle layer of blood vessels. Headaches caused by spasm of cerebral vessels. Spasm of the cerebral os during pregnancy and threatened abortion.
- Method of administration: orally, regardless of food intake, with plenty of water. For patients over 12 years of age, 40-80 mg is prescribed 2-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 240 mg. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease and is determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: nausea, vomiting, bowel disorders, headaches, skin allergic reactions, decreased blood pressure, tachycardia, swelling of the nasal mucosa, bronchospasms. For treatment, discontinuation of the drug is indicated.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe heart failure, arterial hypotension, pregnancy and lactation, patients under 12 years of age. Not prescribed for severe renal/hepatic failure, cardiogenic shock.
- Overdose: atrioventricular block, respiratory center paralysis, cardiac arrest. There is no specific antidote, emergency medical care is required.
Release form: tablets 40 mg, 10 pieces per package. Forte tablets 80 mg, 10 pieces per blister, two blisters per package. Injection solution 2 ml, 5 ampoules per package.
An analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic agent. After oral administration, Ibuprofen is quickly absorbed in the intestines and has a therapeutic effect.
- Indications for use: pain syndrome of various origins, rheumatoid pain, neuralgia, traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system, diseases of the ENT organs, toothache and headache.
- Method of administration: orally, for moderate pain syndrome, 400 mg 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 2.4 g.
- Side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, headaches and dizziness, insomnia, skin allergic reactions. In rare cases, gastrointestinal bleeding, aseptic meningitis, and bronchospasms develop.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the drug, hematopoiesis disorders, ulcerative colitis, renal/liver dysfunction, aspirin triad, erosive and ulcerative gastrointestinal lesions. Not prescribed for patients under 6 years of age. Use during pregnancy and lactation is possible only on medical prescription.
- Overdose: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headaches, metabolic acidosis, acute renal failure, tachycardia. There is no specific antidote. Treatment includes gastric lavage, alkaline drinks and further symptomatic therapy.
Release form: enteric-coated tablets of 200 mg, 100 pieces per package.
Nurofen
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with pronounced analgesic properties. Has antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. Blocks the formation of substances that support inflammatory reactions in the body.
- Indications for use: severe pain syndrome of various localizations, infectious and inflammatory processes in the body, rheumatoid diseases.
- Method of administration: tablets are taken orally at 200-800 mg 3-4 times a day. When a positive therapeutic effect is achieved, the dose is reduced. The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: nausea, vomiting, flatulence, edema, increased blood pressure, bronchospastic reactions, inhibition of hematopoiesis processes, allergic skin reactions.
- Contraindications: intolerance to the components of the drug, pregnancy and lactation, heart failure, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, suppression of hematopoiesis, hemorrhagic diathesis, ulcerative colitis.
Release form: tablets of 20, 40, 60 mg, 10, 20 pieces in a blister. Extended-release tablets of 800 mg, 10, 20 pieces in a package. Syrup, drops, chewable tablets for children and 5% cream in tubes.
Ofloxacin
An antibacterial agent from the fluoroquinolone group. Affects gram-negative bacteria. Has a bactericidal effect.
- Indications for use: infectious diseases of the urinary tract, abdominal organs, kidneys, inflammation of the prostate gland. Infections of the respiratory tract and soft tissues, osteomyelitis. Infectious gynecological diseases, gonorrhea.
- Method of administration: orally, 300-400 mg twice a day. Duration of treatment from 2-3 days until complete disappearance of painful symptoms.
- Side effects: allergic reactions, swelling of the face, vocal cords, loss of appetite, headaches, anxiety. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sleep disturbance, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, photosensitivity.
- Contraindications: intolerance to quinolones, epilepsy, pregnancy and lactation, patients under 15 years of age. Impaired renal function, concomitant use with antacids.
Release form: tablets of 200 mg, 10 pieces per package.
Ampicillin
A semi-synthetic antibiotic from the penicillin group. Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
- Indications for use: urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, tonsillitis, peritonitis, sepsis, intestinal infections. Infectious complications in the postoperative period.
- Method of administration: orally, regardless of food intake. Single dose for adults is 500 mg, daily 2-3 g. Duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease.
- Side effects: skin allergic reactions, itching, burning, rashes, anaphylactic shock. Desensitizing therapy is indicated for treatment.
- Contraindications: intolerance to drugs from the penicillin group, liver failure, bronchial asthma, allergic diseases.
Release form: tablets and capsules for oral use of 250 mg, 10, 20 pieces per package. The drug is also available as a powder for suspension in 60 g packages.

A broad-spectrum antibacterial agent with the active component fosfomycin trometamol. It has a bactericidal effect on most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
- Indications for use: bacterial and recurrent cystitis, non-specific bacterial urethritis, massive asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnant women. Urinary tract infections in the postoperative period. Prevention of bacterial infections of the genitourinary system during surgical and diagnostic manipulations.
- Method of administration: orally, dissolving 1 packet of the medicine in 1/3 glass of water. Monural is taken on an empty stomach two hours before meals once a day. Before using the drug, the bladder should be emptied. The dosage and duration of treatment are determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: hypersensitivity reactions, allergic rashes, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, increased fatigue.
- Overdose: vestibular disorders, metallic taste in the mouth, loss of appetite, hearing impairment. Treatment is symptomatic. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids to increase diuresis.

Canephron for acute cystitis
A medicinal product with antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. Canephron contains active substances of plant origin that reduce the intensity of inflammation, relieve spasms of the urinary tract and have a diuretic effect.
- Indications for use: chronic and acute diseases of the kidneys, bladder. Inflammation of the urinary system, glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis. Prevention of urinary stones.
- Directions for use: orally, two capsules 2-3 times a day. The duration of therapy is determined by the attending physician.
- Side effects: allergic reactions in the form of urticaria, skin rashes, itching, hyperemia of the skin. Attacks of nausea and vomiting, stool disorders. If blood appears in the urine and urination disorders, emergency medical care is required.

- Indications for use: infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary system and prostate gland in acute and chronic form. Recurrent diseases and abnormalities of the urinary tract. Preventive measure for long-term catheterization of the bladder.
- Method of administration: orally during meals. During treatment, a protein-rich diet should be followed. In acute diseases, take two tablets 3-4 times a day on the first day of treatment, then reduce the dosage to 100 mg 2-3 times a day. In pediatric practice, take 5-7 mg / kg per day. The course of treatment is 7-8 days, followed by a repeat after 10-15 days.

Furadonin for acute cystitis
An antimicrobial agent from the nitrofuran group. It has a bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect, disrupting the permeability of the cell membrane and the synthesis of bacterial protein. Furadonin exhibits pronounced activity against gram-positive and gram-positive microorganisms.
- Indications for use: infectious and inflammatory lesions of the urinary tract caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug. Cystitis, urethritis, pyelitis, pyelonephritis. Prophylactic agent for catheterization, cytoscopy, urological manipulations.
- Method of administration: orally, with plenty of water. Adults are prescribed 100-150 mg 3-4 times a day. The maximum therapeutic daily dose is 600 mg, a single dose is 300 mg. Duration of treatment is 7-10 days.

Nolitsin for acute cystitis
An antimicrobial agent that creates increased concentrations in urine. Contains norfloxacin 400 mg from the quinolone group. Nolitsin exhibits pronounced activity against gram-positive bacteria.
- Indications for use: complicated and uncomplicated infections of the upper and lower urinary tract. Cystitis, prostatitis, pyelonephritis, pyelitis. Infections associated with urological operations, neurogenic bladder.
- Method of administration: orally, one hour before meals or two hours after. Adults are prescribed 1 tablet twice a day. Duration of treatment is 7-10 days.
- Side effects: abdominal cramping pain, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, bowel disorders, increased activity of liver enzymes. Sleep disorders, increased anxiety and irritability, tremor of the extremities. Allergic reactions, disorders of the blood and cardiovascular systems.
- Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, pediatric practice. It is prescribed with caution during pregnancy and lactation, for patients with intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid.

Urolesan for acute cystitis
A combined herbal medicine. Contains fir oil, peppermint oil, castor oil, alcoholic extract of wild carrot seeds and hop cones, alcoholic extract of oregano and trilon.
Urolesan has disinfectant properties, increases diuresis, increases the excretion of urea and chlorides, acidifies urine. Active components increase bile secretion and increase hepatic blood flow.
- Indications for use: inflammation of the bladder, cholecystitis, pyelonephritis, cholangiohepatitis, biliary dyskinesia. Various forms of urolithiasis and cholelithiasis, salt diathesis.
- Directions for use: 5-10 drops per piece/spoon of sugar under the tongue 3 times a day. The medicine is taken before meals. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease and can be 3-5 days to 1 month.
