Kinds of moles

Pigmented nevus: intradermal, borderline, complex.

A skin formation such as a pigmented nevus consists of a cluster of melanocytes of varying degrees of differentiation, which are located in different skin layers.

Borderline intradermal nevus.

Intraepidermal or borderline nevus is one of the many varieties of nevi, which has its own clear characteristics and features. This neoplasm is small, but quite dangerous: it has a tendency to grow and become malignant.

Many people have intimate moles, but how safe are they? Let's consider what types of nevi there are, the reasons for their appearance, signs of malignancy, and treatment methods.

Flat moles

Everyone has moles, or nevi. They are benign growths of varying shades of brown. Their color comes from melanin, a pigment found in melanocytes (skin cells) that make up nevi.

A convex mole: what do you need to know about it?

A convex mole (nevus) is a benign neoplasm on the skin. From the point of view of dermatologists, moles and birthmarks have similar medical causes of occurrence. At the initial stage of development, a mole looks like a small dark spot on the skin.

Sunburn moles

Moles are pigmentations, usually oval in shape, that appear on the surface of the skin. Almost all people have these formations. Some have more, others have fewer - it all depends on our skin characteristics.

White halo around the mole

Often these formations are simply a subspecies of common nevi. They appear on the skin near moles and later disappear without having any effect on them.

Benign moles

Every person has moles on their body. In many cases, these are harmless formations related to a congenital or acquired phenomenon. Benign moles can appear throughout a person’s life. They must be carefully monitored and mechanical damage must not be allowed.

A mole on the eyelid

If you notice that a nevus has formed above your eye, it is recommended that you immediately consult a specialist who can determine whether the pigment spot is a benign formation.
