Doctor Mom for dry cough

With a sore throat and a dry, "scratching" cough, which usually accompanies the initial stage of the inflammatory process (when there is no mucous secretion yet), irritation of the superficial receptors of the respiratory tract occurs. It is at this stage that it is necessary to maximally stimulate the secretion of sputum - this will speed up recovery and significantly alleviate the patient's condition.

Doctor Mom is considered one of the first drugs of choice at the stage of dry cough. The active ingredients of the drug enhance the motility of the bronchioles, which accelerates the movement of mucus secretions and relieves coughing. Doctor Mom is relevant for respiratory infections, with low viscosity of sputum. The drug has all the necessary qualities to soothe a dry cough:

  • facilitates expectoration;
  • stops the development of the inflammatory reaction;
  • expands the lumen of the bronchi;
  • thins mucus.

Doctor Mom for wet cough

For wet cough, Doctor Mom is only acceptable for use in a few cases:

  • with insufficient sputum production;
  • in case of excessive viscosity of sputum;
  • for runny nose and body aches.

It often becomes important to prevent the inflammatory reaction in the respiratory system from becoming chronic. Dr. Mom should be included in the general therapeutic regimen in the following cases:

  • if coughing occurs systematically, but the attacks last more than 2-3 days, without abating of symptoms;
  • if, against the background of a constant cough, the amount of secreted mucus decreases;
  • if the sputum changes color, becomes thick, an unpleasant odor appears, and foreign inclusions are observed in the discharge;
  • if the patient’s health deteriorates – for example, the temperature rises, the body aches, or migraine pain occurs.

In the latter case, the use of Doctor Mom is only an auxiliary point. Consultation with a doctor in such a situation is considered mandatory.

Doctor Mom for cough for adults

Both children and adults can get sick with a cold, acute respiratory viral infection or bronchitis. The first painful symptoms are a runny nose, a sore throat, and a cough. Of course, the approaches to treatment for adults and children are always different. However, a drug such as Doctor Mom can be used to treat patients of almost any age, including adults.

Already at the first signs of developing a dry cough (when mucus is not coughed up, or is coughed up with difficulty and in small quantities), it is necessary to take measures to help the respiratory system overcome the disease and restore its functional capacity. Therefore, at the initial stages, doctors advise taking the herbal syrup Doctor Mom: it will help make the mucus thinner, after which its removal will be significantly accelerated.

For sore and scratchy throats, the drug of choice should be Doctor Mom cough lozenges. Their action - softening, analgesic and enveloping - will help significantly improve the patient's well-being literally within the first hours from the onset of the disease.

Adults can take Doctor Mom for up to 14-20 days in a row.

Doctor Mom for cough for children

Medicines for children are a separate category of drugs, which includes such a series of medicines as Doctor Mom. A child's body is more sensitive and receptive than an adult's. Therefore, not all general-use medicines are allowed in pediatric practice. However, Doctor Mom is designed specifically for children from 2-3 years of age.

For example, Doctor Mom in syrup relieves hoarseness and wheezing in the throat, eliminates inflammation and softens cough. A child of 3-5 years old is allowed to take ½ teaspoon of syrup per day in the morning, at lunch and at night. Children under 14 years old are allowed to take 1 teaspoon of the medicine before meals.

The manufacturer specifies that the syrup has a very pleasant taste and is usually liked by children. It can be diluted with water or taken undiluted. In most cases, it is possible to get rid of the cough after a few days of taking Doctor Mom.

Doctor Mom for infants is not recommended for cough: it is not advisable to use this medicine to treat children under 2 years of age, regardless of the form of the medicine.

Use Dr. Mom's cough medicine during pregnancy

As is known, expectant mothers are extremely careful when choosing medications. And this is true, because medications affect both the growing organism in the womb and the course of pregnancy itself.

Since Doctor Mom is presented in various dosage forms, let us consider each of them separately, from the point of view of the use of these drugs during pregnancy.

  • Doctor Mom in syrup form has a harmless natural base, without alcohols and toxic components. This type of drug can be taken by expectant mothers, but with some clarifications:
    • if no allergic reaction to the composition of Doctor Mom has been observed previously;
    • no more than three times a day.
  • Doctor Mom in the form of an external ointment - this type of drug does not have a systemic effect, so it can be used during pregnancy. The main thing is to avoid applying the drug to wounds and mucous membranes.
  • Doctor Mom in pencil form is quite suitable for external use by women during pregnancy.
  • Doctor Mom in the form of lozenges - doctors do not recommend this drug for use by expectant mothers, due to the presence of flavoring, coloring and preservative components in its composition.

During pregnancy, any drug, even if it is approved for use, should be used as little as possible. You should not take the medication for a long time: after achieving the desired therapeutic effect, the medication should be put aside. You should not use Doctor Mom during pregnancy for preventive purposes.

The main restrictions are:

  • tendency to allergies and hypersensitivity to the composition of Doctor Mom;
