Acne occurs as a result of diseases of the glands of external secretion, the so-called sebaceous glands, as well as the tissues that surround them. But sometimes they signal problems with the body as a whole. Most often, acne is localized on the face, back and chest.

What causes acne?
In most cases, acne is a teenage problem associated with hormonal changes that occur during this period. In more mature age, acne can be a sign of some hidden pathologies.
Acne occurs starting with the appearance of small bumps on the skin called sebaceous plugs. They clog the glands, causing bacteria to multiply. As a result, the acne turns red and a purulent mass forms in it. After the pus comes out, the skin is freed from the sebum and infection that has accumulated in it. But a negative consequence of this process can be excessively enlarged pores, scars on the skin, which has a very unaesthetic appearance and can cause the development of certain complexes. And first of all, this is why acne should be treated in a timely manner.
Factors that predispose to the occurrence of acne may include the following:
- hereditary predisposition;
- hormonal imbalance, including during menstruation;
- unbalanced diet;
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver;
- stressful situations;
- unfavorable climate and weather conditions;
- failure to observe hygiene rules;
- wearing too tight and synthetic underwear, especially in winter;
- Inappropriate choice of skin care products.

How to get rid of acne?
It is advisable to start treating acne after examination and consultation with a dermatologist or cosmetologist. In no case should you squeeze acne, this can lead to quite serious negative consequences. Acne can be eliminated using methods such as ozone therapy - physiotherapeutic effects on the body using ozone and oxygen. This method has an anti-inflammatory and immune-strengthening effect.
Acne can also be removed with mesotherapy (injection of low-dose medicinal injections directly into the skin), such therapy improves metabolism and tissue healing, neutralizes skin oiliness. The general course of treatment is from four to ten sessions, which are carried out with a break of one to two weeks. In the future, preventive procedures can be prescribed with a frequency of once every six months.
If acne is the result of excessively oily skin and poor diet, the following procedures can be recommended:
- Be sure to drink one and a half to two liters of still water during the day;
- take vitamin and mineral complexes, in particular vitamins A and E have a positive effect on the condition of the skin;
- Include fresh vegetables and fruits, fish, nuts in your daily diet, exclude fatty and spicy foods, carbonated drinks;
- peel your skin about once a week; for these purposes, you can use levomycetin, metrogyl gel, calendula tincture, propolis, salicylic alcohol, tar soap, and special lotions;
- take baths with a small amount of potassium permanganate, sea salt, cosmetic clay. After the procedure, let the body dry on its own.
- Try applying a scrub with iodized salt and masks with an exfoliating effect to problem areas. You should buy such products at a pharmacy.
Acne of allergic origin often appears as small and red rashes; in such cases, you need to see an allergist.
Medicinal cosmetics, specially developed for the care of problem skin, are preferably used in consultation with a doctor. Such products contain medicinal components, penetrate deep into the skin, thereby providing proper care and a therapeutic effect, unlike decorative cosmetics, which affect only the upper layers of the skin.
Modern methods of hardware cosmetology, for example, using phototherapy, can effectively remove acne. As a result of this procedure, light pulsations penetrate deep under the skin, bacteria are eliminated, and blood microcirculation improves.
Laser acne treatment restores the natural fat balance of the skin and prevents the formation of scars.
Cryotherapy (cold treatment) is quite effective in cleansing the skin, reducing inflammation and redness.
