Menovazole is a medicine used to treat pathologies in the nasal cavity. Drops have an irritating effect on peripheral neuronal endings and have an antiseptic effect.
Menthol stimulates the activity of the cold ends of the nasal mucosa, and phenyl salicylate demonstrates pronounced antibacterial activity. Vaseline oil has a softening effect on the nasal mucosa, and at the same time acts as a protection against chemical and mechanical irritants. [1]
Indications Mentovazole
It is used in the case of rhinopharyngitis, rhinitis, , tracheobronchitis, or lesions of the nasopharynx and nasal mucosa having an inflammatory-infectious nature.
Release form
The release of the drug is realized in the form of nasal drops.
Dosing and administration
An adult needs to instill 3-5 drops of the medicine inside each nostril, 3-4 times a day. For a child, 1-2 drops are required, with 2-3 times a day.
You can use the medication in the period of 5-7 days; if necessary, the course of therapy can be extended.
- Application for children
Not for use on persons under 3 years of age.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- spasmophilia;
- runny nose of allergic origin;
- croup;
- severe personal intolerance to the components of the medication.
Side effects Mentovazole
Sometimes, with increased personal intolerance to the elements of drugs, local signs of allergy may occur.
Storage conditions
Mentovazole must be kept in a dark place, closed from the penetration of children. The temperature level is in the range of 8-15ºC.
Shelf life
Menovazole can be used within a 4-year term from the date of manufacture of the drug substance.
Analogs
Analogs of the medicine are drugs Pinovit, Nazomarin, Humer with Aqua Maris, Pinosol, Fiziodoza and Zvezda with No-salt, and in addition Boromenthol, Protargol and Isofra. Also on the list are Salin, Marimer, Physiomer with Nasodren and Sinuforte.
