This medication is used to treat recurrent or chronic forms of bacterial colpitis (both nonspecific and bacterial form), provoked by anaerobic microorganisms, bacterial vaginosis.
The drug Vaginorm C is also prescribed to stabilize the normal microflora of the vaginal medium.

Release form
This medication is made in the form of light oval intravaginal tablets 250 mg. The factory packaging contains 6 tablets.
Each tablet consists of 250 mg of vitamin C, in addition to lactose, polymethylsiloxane, magnesium stearate and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose in smaller amounts.
Pharmacodynamics
Vaginorm C is an antiseptic drug. The active ingredient is vitamin C, which promotes active tissue repair, adjustment of metabolic processes between carbohydrates, the course of oxidation and reduction reactions, and also effectively dilutes blood. Vitamin C improves the resistance of organs and systems to the action of pathogenic microbes and viral strains, reduces the permeability of the walls of blood vessels, reduces the human need for certain vitamins.
Vitamin C is involved in the metabolism of substances such as tyrosine, folic acid, phenylalanine, histamine, iron, thanks to vitamin, collagen, fats and proteins, carnitine are produced, carbohydrates are utilized.
Vitamin C ensures the passage of immune reactions, hydroxylation of the hormone serotonin, and also enhances the absorption of iron.
Known antioxidant and antiaggregate properties of the drug. The active substance accelerates the production of interferon and antibodies, the activity of phagocytes, inhibits the formation of prostaglandins and other mediators of the inflammatory process.
Due to the preparation, the vaginal environment changes, the development of pathogenic microbes is inhibited, the normal vaginal microflora is maintained.
Pharmacokinetics
When Vaginorm C is used, the active substance of the drug is gradually released, the greater amount (70%>) is distributed over a period of up to four hours. Within 30 minutes, the environment within the vagina decreases from 6.8 to 4.
The limiting amount of substance in the blood serum is observed 1.5 hours after the administration of the medication. The half-life is 61 hours. Entry into the systemic bloodstream can be negligible.
The drug is excreted from the body through the urinary system.
Dosing and administration
The drug is administered intravaginally. It is recommended that the pill be administered as deep as possible into the vagina. The procedure is carried out once a day, at night, assuming a lying position, and bending your knees.
In standard situations, the drug is used for 6-7 days. In severe pathologies, Vaginorm C can be prescribed for a longer course, up to a month or more. Sometimes there may be a need for a repeat therapeutic course, at the discretion of the doctor.

The drug can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, regardless of the period of pregnancy.
Contraindications
The use of the drug should be avoided with symptoms of candidal vulvovaginitis, as well as with the tendency of the body to allergy to any of the components of the drug.

Admission of estrogens against the background of Vaginorm C increases the bioavailability of vitamin C.
