Mentovazole

Mentovazol is a medicine used to eliminate pathologies in the nasal cavity. The drops have an irritating effect on peripheral neural endings and have an antiseptic effect.
Menthol stimulates the activity of cold endings of the nasal mucosa, and phenyl salicylate demonstrates pronounced antibacterial activity. Vaseline oil has a softening effect on the nasal mucosa, and at the same time acts as protection against chemical and mechanical irritants. [ 1 ]
Indications Mentovazole
It is used in cases of nasopharyngitis, rhinitis, tracheobronchitis or inflammatory-infectious lesions of the nasopharynx and nasal mucosa.
Release form
The drug is released in the form of nasal drops.
Dosing and administration
An adult needs to instill 3-5 drops of the medicine into each nostril, 3-4 times a day. A child needs 1-2 drops, 2-3 times a day.
The medication can be used for a period of 5-7 days; if necessary, the course of therapy can be extended.
- Application for children
Not for use in children under 3 years of age.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- spasmophilia;
- rhinitis of allergic origin;
- cereals;
- severe personal intolerance to the components of the medication.
Side effects Mentovazole
Sometimes, with increased personal intolerance to the elements of the drug, local signs of allergy may occur.
Storage conditions
Mentovazol should be stored in a dark place, out of reach of children. Temperature level – in the range of 8-15ºC.
Shelf life
Mentovazol can be used within a 4-year period from the date of manufacture of the medicinal substance.
Analogues
The analogs of the drug are Pinovit, Nazomarin, Humer with Aqua Maris, Pinosol, Physiodoza and Zvezda with No-sol, as well as Boromenthol, Protargol and Isofra. Also on the list are Saline, Marimer, Physiomer with Nasodren and Sinuforte.
