Dr. Theiss syrup is contraindicated for patients under 1 year of age and in case of hypersensitivity to its components. It is not prescribed during pregnancy and lactation. Bronchipret

A combination drug that contains several plant extracts: thyme herb, ivy leaves, maltitol syrup. The interaction of the active components helps dry coughs become productive, liquefy mucus and facilitate its removal.

Plant components have antipyretic, diaphoretic, carminative and antispasmodic properties. They thin phlegm and stimulate its removal. They reduce bronchial obstruction in inflammatory lesions of the respiratory tract of various etiologies.

  • Indications for use: symptomatic therapy of cough of various etiologies, coughing fits in bacterial and viral respiratory tract infections. Adjuvant therapy for rhinitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
  • Method of administration: orally, regardless of food. The interval between taking the drug should be at least 6 hours. The course of treatment and dosage is determined by the attending physician.
  • Side effects: hypersensitivity reactions, water-electrolyte imbalance, hypokalemia, arterial hypertension, myoglobinuria. Overdose has similar signs, treatment is symptomatic.

  • Method of administration: orally before meals, the dosage depends on the patient's age. For children from 1 to 2 years old - 2.5 ml, from 2 to 7 - 5 ml, from 7 to 14 - 10 ml. For adult patients - 15 ml 4-6 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.
  • Side effects: allergic reactions, increased dry cough. In case of overdose, nausea and vomiting occur. Treatment is symptomatic.
  • Contraindications: intolerance to the components of the drug. With special caution it is prescribed for diabetes mellitus, as well as for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Marshmallow is available in bottles of 100 and 200 ml syrup.

Travesil

Syrup with a rich herbal composition: leaves of adathoda Vasik, fruits of long pepper, fruits of black pepper, ginger root, licorice root, turmeric and emblica root, acacia bark, fennel seeds, basil, Chinese galangal root, menthol and other substances.

The interaction of natural components effectively combats dry and wet cough of various etiologies, minimizes irritation of the mucous membranes of the upper and lower respiratory tract, helps with infectious lesions. The dosage of the drug and the duration of treatment are determined by the doctor, individually for each patient. At the same time, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 ml.

Travesil is contraindicated in case of intolerance to its components, for patients under 3 years of age, with organic heart disease, arterial hypertension, hepatitis, nephritis, hypokalemia, obesity. In case of overdose, side effects occur: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, taste disturbance, abdominal pain, increased drowsiness, dizziness. Treatment is symptomatic.

Pectoral

Syrup, used for coughs and colds. Contains the following active ingredients: plantain extract, primrose extract, liquid senega extract, liquid thyme extract and auxiliary substances.

Indications for use: complex treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract with cough, difficult discharge of viscous sputum. The medicine is taken orally, the dosage depends on the patient's age.

Contraindications: intolerance to the components of the drug, children under 5 years old, gastroesophageal reflux disease, severe kidney and liver disease, increased acidity of gastric juice, diabetes mellitus. Not used in fructose intolerance syndrome, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation. Overdose: nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, gastrointestinal disorders.

Altemix

Contains marshmallow root extract. Has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, enveloping and softening properties. Used in the complex treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases with difficult expectoration. Effective for tracheitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, whooping cough, bronchial asthma.

The medicine is taken orally after meals. The dosage for adults is 15 ml of syrup, for children 6-12 years old - 10 ml, 2-6 years old - 5 ml 3-5 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days. The medicine is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components, is not prescribed for the treatment of children under 2 years old, during pregnancy and lactation. Overdose and side effects have similar symptoms: nausea, vomiting, allergic rashes. Gastric lavage with further symptomatic therapy is indicated for treatment.

Gedelix

Antitussive syrup based on ivy leaves. Has antispasmodic and expectorant properties. Used for diseases of the upper respiratory tract and bronchi, difficult sputum separation.

The drug is taken ½ measuring cup 2-3 times a day. For newborns and young children, half the adult dose is prescribed. The course of treatment is 7-10 days. Gedelix is not used in case of hypersensitivity to its components. Available in bottles of 50, 100 and 200 ml.

Eucabal

A medicinal product with plant extracts of plantain and thyme. The active components affect the bronchial glands, increasing their activity. They reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its removal, relieve irritation from inflamed respiratory tract.
