Cook's syrup

Combined herbal preparation. It has antitussive, expectorant, mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, sedative and bronchodilator properties. Active substances dry extracts: roots and rhizomes of alpinia galanga, adhatodes of vascular, licorice roots, fruits of pepper long, leaves of basil sacred, leaves of mint field.

Plant components have antipyretic, diaphoretic, carminative and antispasmodic properties. Dilute sputum and stimulate its excretion. I reduce bronchial obstruction with inflammatory respiratory tract infections of various etiologies.

  • Indications for use: symptomatic therapy of cough of various etiologies, coughing attacks with bacterial and viral respiratory tract infections. Auxiliary therapy for rhinitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.

Contains an extract of the althea root, which consists of such biologically active components: organic acids, fatty oils, provitamin A, mineral salts, phytosterols, mucus, amino acids. They increase the peristalsis of bronchioles, increasing the activity of the ciliated epithelium.

Stimulation of the bronchial glands helps to increase the volume of sputum and reduces its viscosity. Alteyny root envelops the affected mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, providing a local anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effect.

  • Indications for use: inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system in acute and chronic form with cough and sputum. Also, the medicine can be used to relieve symptoms of gastritis, stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers.
  • How to use: Orally before meals, dosage depends on the patient's age. For children from 1 to 2 years, 2.5 ml, 2 to 7 to 5 ml, 7 to 14 to 10 ml. For patients of adult age - 15 ml 4-6 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.
  • Side effects: allergic reactions, increased dry cough. In case of an overdose, nausea and vomiting occur. Treatment is symptomatic.
  • Contraindications: intolerance to the components of the drug. With special care is prescribed for diabetes, as well as for pregnant women and women breastfeeding.

In case of an overdose, side effects occur: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, taste disturbance, abdominal pain, increased drowsiness, dizziness. Treatment is symptomatic.

Pectoral

Syrup, used for cough and colds. Contains such active components: plantain extract, primrose extract, senegi liquid extract, thyme extract liquid and auxiliary substances.

Indications for use: comprehensive treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract with a cough, difficult passage of viscous sputum. The medication is taken orally, the dosage depends on the age of the patient.

Contraindications: intolerance of the components of the drug, children younger than 5 years, gastroesophageal reflux disease, severe kidney and liver diseases, increased acidity of gastric juice, diabetes mellitus. It is not used in the syndrome of fructose intolerance, impaired absorption of glucose-galactose. Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation. Overdose: nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, gastrointestinal disorders.

Altemix

Contains an extract of the althaea root. Has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, enveloping and softening properties. It is used in the complex treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases with difficulty in sputum discharge. Effective with tracheitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, whooping cough, bronchial asthma.

The medicine is taken orally after a meal. Dosage for adults is 15 ml of syrup, for children 6-12 years for 10 ml, 2-6 years for 5 ml 3-5 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days. The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components, it is not prescribed for treatment of children younger than 2 years, during pregnancy and lactation. Overdose and adverse reactions have similar symptoms: nausea, vomiting, allergic rashes. For treatment, gastric lavage is indicated with further symptomatic therapy.

Gedeliks

Antitussive syrup based on ivy leaves. Has spasmolytic and expectorant properties. It is used for diseases of the upper respiratory tract and bronchi, obstructed separation of sputum.

The drug is taken by ½ a measuring cup 2-3 times a day. For infants and young children, one-half of the adult dose is prescribed. The course of treatment is 7-10 days. Gedelix is not used for hypersensitivity to its components. Produced in vials of 50, 100 and 200 ml.

Eucabal

A medicinal product with plant extracts of plantain and thyme. Active components affect the bronchial glands, enhancing their activity. Reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its excretion, remove irritation from the inflamed respiratory tract.
