Inhalation administration of drugs - a common and effective method for eliminating coughing, sputum in the lungs, a tickle in the nasopharynx and throat, etc. One of the drugs that can be administered inhalation is Mucosolvan Injection: it refers to mucolytic Medications that are included in the list. Necessary medicines in the treatment of cough and cold pathologies.
Is it possible to drink Lazolvan for inhalations?
The instructions indicate that Lazolvan for inhalation is a solution intended for oral and inhalatory administration. Therefore, the remedy can be offered to the child, adding to liquids for drinking, or in a nebulizer. Some experts note that inhalation for colds and coughs is more acceptable, since the therapeutic effect comes faster, and the medicinal component falls directly into the affected respiratory tract, bypassing the digestive tract.
However, it sometimes happens that inhalation can not be carried out - for example, small children may simply be afraid of an inhaler device. In such a situation, one should not despair: Lazolvan in the form of an inhalant solution is no less suitable for internal use. However, the dosages here are completely different, so you should first consult the doctor.
Indications Phantom for inhalation
Lazolvan for inhalation of cough is provided for the treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory system, which are accompanied by dry coughing attacks, or with a wet cough with a difficult sputum discharge.
Common indications for the appointment of inhalations are:
- diseases of the upper respiratory system (acute or chronic form) with complex formation and poor evacuation of the sputum mass;
- attacks of dry cough without sputum formation;
- acute or chronic type of bronchitis;
- pneumonia;
- presence of bronchiectasises;
- chronic obstruction (COPD);
- insufficient separation of the sputum mass in bronchial asthma.
Release form
Lazolvan is represented by a wide range of medicinal forms that allows you to choose the optimal medication for any category of patients.
Lazolvan spray used for otolaryngological diseases: this drug has a vasoconstrictor property and softens the inflamed mucosa.
Lazolvan solution for ingestion and inhalation is one of the most versatile means that is provided for oral or inhalation administration.
Lazolvan drops for inhalations are used from the calculation of 25 drops = 1 ml of the drug. The properties of the drops are equivalent to the properties of the inhalation liquid for ingestion.
Syrup Lazolvan is intended exclusively for internal use. Lazolvan syrup for inhalations should not be used.
In addition, there are also a tablet version and Lazolvan lozenges.
The composition of Lazolvana for inhalation is represented by the known mucolytic ambroxol, as well as secondary ingredients: purified water, citric acid monohydrate, disodium hydrophosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride.
One milliliter of Lazolvan for inhalation consists of 7.5 mg of the active ingredient. The medicinal liquid is clear, with a slightly brownish tinge.
Pharmacodynamics
There is evidence that the active ingredient of Lazolvan for inhalation is capable of increasing the secretory function of the respiratory glandular system. The drug potentiates the production of pulmonary mucus, having a direct effect on the cellular structures of the alveoli and bronchioles. Lazolvan also activates the ciliary system, which leads to an accelerated elimination of mucus. Such properties were seen in clinical and pharmacological testing.
Stimulation of fluid production and excretion of mucus greatly facilitate the patient's condition. Cough becomes productive.
Local anesthetic effect of Lazolvana is also proved experimentally and is explained by blocking of sodium channels. Studies have demonstrated the property of the drug to block neural sodium channels: the bond was inverse and depended on the concentrations.
Lazolvan also has an anti-inflammatory effect, reducing the release of the cytokine, and weakening the tissue bond between mononuclear and polymorphonuclear cell structures.
Clinical testing with the participation of patients with pharyngitis allowed to prove: pain and hyperemia of tissues in the throat area decrease after application of Lazolvan for inhalations. Anesthesia was particularly pronounced in relation to the upper parts of the respiratory system.
Lazolvan for inhalation can increase the concentration of antibiotics in bronchopulmonary discharge.
Pharmacokinetics
Absorption of the basic ingredient of Lazolvan for inhalation is fast and complete, depending on the dosage. Limit amounts in the blood serum can be determined after 1-2.5 hours with oral administration (after 6.5 hours with the use of sustained release forms).
When administered orally, the distribution is rapid and significant, with the maximum possible concentration of drug substance in the lungs. The estimated distribution volume for internal reception is 552 liters. In the blood serum, about 90% of the drug binds to proteins.
The active ingredient is metabolized more in the liver. After 3 days, about 6% of the total dose leaves with the urinary fluid in a preserved form, and about 26% in the form of a conjugate.
The half-life of Lazolvan is estimated at 10 hours. The average clearance rate on average is 660 ml / minute. The index of renal clearance is 83% of the total.
Dosing and administration
One milliliter of solution corresponds to 25 drops.
Adults and children, starting from the age of six, are given 1-2 inhalation injections per day (daily dose of 2-3 ml).
For children under six years of age, 1-2 inhalations per day (daily dose of 2 ml) are recommended.
You can use Lazolvan for inhalations in a nebulizer or other modern inhaler device, except for steam appliances.
One procedure for a child under five years can last about 3 minutes. For older children, the duration is increased to 5-10 minutes. The total duration of treatment is 10-14 days.
How to breed Lazolvan for inhalations?
Before starting treatment, you should carefully read the annotation for the use of Lazolvan for inhalation.
If the doctor did not specify otherwise, the proportions of Lazolvan for inhalations should be as follows:
- The physiological solution with Lazolvanom for inhalations is diluted in the ratio 1: 1. This will ensure the best humidification of air entering the respiratory system. Sodium chloride and Lazolvan for inhalations are warmed to the body temperature before use.
- Berodual and Lazolvan for inhalations are combined only for medical purposes. Before carrying out inhalations the following rules are adhered to:
- for adults and adolescents from 12 years, use no more than 40 drops for one procedure (the daily number of procedures - no more than 4);
- for children 6-12 years, 20 drops of Berodual are applied per inhalation (the number of procedures is three per day);
- for children under six, 10 drops of Berodual are sufficient for one administration (2-3 procedures per day are allowed).
To this amount of the drug should be added 3 ml of physiological solution.
- For children from 2 years of age, Lazolvan Ambrobene may be used for inhalation. Dosage of the drugs, as a rule, coincide, but it is better to discuss the replacement with the attending physician.
- Pulmicort and Lazolvan for inhalations can also be used together:
- children with half a year or more are recommended to use Pulmicort in the amount of 0.25-2 mg / day;
- Children from 12 years and adults are prescribed 0.5-4 mg Pulmicort per day.
Many patients are wondering whether it is possible to dilute Lazolvan with water for inhalation. Usual drinking water for breeding Lazolvan is not used. Optimum use isotonic sodium chloride solution (it is the same - saline solution), or water for injection (sold in pharmacies).
The mucus for inhalation should not be mixed with agents based on cromoglycic acid, with alkaline liquids with a pH in excess of 6.3.
Inhalation with Lazolvan for children
Lazolvan for inhalations is allowed to be prescribed for cough therapy in pediatrics. Children under 2 years of age are treated only under the supervision of a medical specialist. It is unacceptable to carry out inhalation if the baby has a fever, or a tendency to nosebleeds.
Use Phantom for inhalation during pregnancy
It was found that the basic ingredient of the drug Lazolvan successfully overcomes the placental barrier. And, although the scientists did not reveal any negative impact on the fetus, it is recommended to avoid Lazolvan treatment during gestation. In particular, this recommendation refers to the first trimester.
The active ingredient of the drug is found in the breast milk, therefore, Lazolvan should not be administered for inhalation to mothers who breastfeed.

[15],
Interactions with other drugs
It is not recommended simultaneous treatment with Lazolvanom for inhalations and other medications that depress the cough reflex. This is due to the fact that there is an increased risk of excessive accumulation of mucous secretions in respiratory organs. This combination is possible only after careful weighing by the doctor of the benefits and possible negative consequences.
Shelf life
Vials with Lazolvanom for inhalations can be stored for up to five years, after which the remedy should be discarded.

Reviews
In occasion of Lazolvan for inhalations it is possible to find the most different responses, and the majority from them - positive. Parents often note that expectoration of cough relief in a child is observed after several procedures. It is also convenient that the solution can be used, both inhalation and inside, which allows treating even the most capricious babies.
Rarely there are side effects on the background of Lazolvan treatment. As a rule, they develop only when the solution is used incorrectly. In order not to allow trouble, it is necessary to adhere to such rules:
- During inhalation, the patient should sit, but do not lie;
- the procedure is carried out only one and a half hours after eating or physical activity;
- during inhalation, inhale through the mouth, take a little breath, and exhale through the nose;
- breathing should be even, do not take too deep breaths;
- if Lazolvan is used to treat asthma, then inhalation is performed only after taking bronchodilators (to avoid spasm and irritation of the respiratory system);
- the temperature of the solution for inhalation should approximate the temperature of the human body;
- The mask for inhalation is not boiled, but wipe with disinfectant - for example, hydrogen peroxide;
- Inhalation can not be carried out immediately before going to bed, as this can cause a coughing attack;
- Lazolvan is not suitable for use in steam inhalers.
If you consider all of the above points, then Lazolvan treatment will only benefit.
Often patients seek analogues for Lazolvan for inhalations, because this remedy is not always available in pharmacies. The most common analogous preparation is Ambrobene, since it has practically the same composition on the basis of ambroxol hydrochloride. Inhalation Ambrobene is dispensed in two versions - 0 ml and 100 ml. Medication, as well as Lazolvan, is usually prescribed for inflammation of the lungs and bronchi, obstruction, bronchial asthma. The agent is well perceived by the body and can be used already in the period of newborn.
Other analogues of Lazolvan for inectures can be:
- Ambroxol solution (Ukraine, Kharkov);
- Ambroxol-Teva solution (Germany);
- drops Ambrosan (Czech Republic);
- drops Medox (Czech Republic);
- solution Mukolvan (Ukraine);
- solution Mukosol (Lekhim, Ukraine);
- solution Flavamed and Flavamed Forte (Germany);
- solution Lazoleks (Ukraine).
What to prefer, Lazolvan or Ambrobene for inhalations? What's better? This choice is not fundamental: both drugs belong to the same therapeutic group and have the same active ingredient, so their action is equivalent. The difference is only in the manufacturer. The effectiveness of the drugs is the same, which was repeatedly proved experimentally.
Berodual or Lazolvan for inhalation? What's better? In occasion of this question it is better to consult the doctor, as it is a question of various preparations: Lazolvan - mucolytics, which is used for cough and cold, and Berodual is an adrenergic agent for the treatment of obstruction of the respiratory tract. It is not necessary to use Berodual with a usual cough: the drug is intended to stop impaired patency in the airways - for example, its use is justified for asthma, obstructive bronchitis or emphysema. Appoints such a drug only a doctor, if there is evidence. If the appointment prescribed Lazolvan for inhalations, then you yourself are free to replace one solution with another.
