Examination of the body

Sialografiya

Sialography (radiography of salivary glands with artificial contrast of their ducts) is most often used to diagnose various diseases. Sialografiya allows you to judge the condition of the ducts and the parenchyma of the gland.

Sialometry

To study the secretory activity of the salivary glands, sialometry of large and small salivary glands is performed. Usually, secretion is determined by collecting parotid saliva or collecting secret from the submaxillary glands. Sialometry allows you to evaluate the functions of each gland.

Rheoencephalography

Rheoencephalography (REG) is based on the measurement of changes in the impedance of the head associated with the pulse wave when a weak high-frequency electric current passes through the electrodes.

Ultrasound echoencephalography

Ultrasound echoencephalography (EchoEG) is based on the principle of echolocation. The goal of EchoEG is to identify gross morphological disorders in the structure of the brain (subdural hematomas, cerebral edema, hydrocephalus, large tumors, displacement of median structures), as well as intracranial hypertension.

Magnetoencephalography

Magnetoencephalography - registration of the magnetic component of the electromagnetic field of the brain. This method arose relatively recently in connection with the successes of low-temperature physics and ultrasensitive magnetometry.

Scale of pain in children

The Wong-Baker scale is designed to assess the intensity of pain in children. It includes pictures with faces - a smiling face, which means no pain (0 points out of 5), distorted by a grimace of a crying face, which means the greatest pain intensity (5 points out of 5).

ECG features in children

ECG in children is important for the diagnosis of heart damage. The technique of ECG removal, the system of leads and the theoretical basis of the method are common for all age groups.

Assessment of the severity of injury

The trauma evaluation scale assesses the key physiological parameters, a change in which, after trauma, allows patients at risk to be identified. The scale includes five main vital indicators: respiration rate, respiration pattern, systolic blood pressure, capillary filling time, Glasgow coma scale (GCS).

Scale of Glasgow and evaluation of neurological status

The Glasgow scale (SCG) was proposed in 1974 as a practical method for assessing coma. The disturbed consciousness is classified based on the violation of 3 responses: pupillary, motor and speech.

Capillaroscopy

Capillaroscopy is a method of visual examination of capillaries in vivo. The full name of the method is wide-field capillaroscopy of the nail bed. The study is carried out with a small increase in the microscope (x12-40), the object of observation is the distal row of capillaries of the nail bed (eponymichia).
