Fitogastrol (gastrointestinal collection) is a complex herbal medicine. It is included in the group of medicines that affect the processes of metabolism and digestion. It includes a mixture of 5 types of herbal therapeutic raw materials. The tincture from this collection has a choleretic, as well as anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect.

The composition of the medicine contains equal proportions of raw materials of peppermint leaves, chamomile flowers, rhizomes of licorice root with licorice roots, and fruits of garden dill.

It is used for diseases of various origins affecting the liver and gastrointestinal tract (as an antispasmodic and choleretic drug it is used only as part of a combination treatment).

Release form

The medicinal product is released in the form of crushed mixture, inside packs of 25, 50 or 75 g.

Pharmacodynamics

The therapeutic activity of Fitogastrol is associated with the influence exerted by its constituent elements.

The bioactive elements contained in peppermint help activate gastric secretion processes and stimulate general digestion.

The components of licorice roots provide the development of antiulcer effects.

The substances contained in chamomile demonstrate a disinfectant and weak anti-inflammatory effect, thereby increasing the speed of healing processes.

The complex of components of dill fruits has a diuretic and choleretic effect, and at the same time helps to remove intestinal gases and reduces gas formation, as well as smooth muscle spasms. In addition, dill fruits stimulate intestinal motility and increase the excretory activity of the stomach.

The rhizomes of the irny root stimulate digestion processes, appetite, gastric secretion, and in addition, have a positive effect on bile secretion and the functioning of the gallbladder; the component also has a diuretic effect.

The tincture of the herbal collection Fitogastrol stimulates the endings of different parts of the gastrointestinal tract, thereby activating the overall digestive function.

Dosing and administration

It is necessary to take 5 g of the herbal collection (1 tablespoon), pour it into an enamel container, and then pour 1 glass (0.2 l) of boiled water into it. Then close the container with a lid and heat it in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. After that, cool the decoction for 45 minutes, filter and squeeze out the remaining raw materials. The volume of the resulting tincture must be brought to 0.2 l with boiled water.

The tincture should be taken orally, half an hour before meals - 1/3 cup, 3 times a day.

When using filter bags (volume 2 g) - 1 bag should be placed in an enamel or glass container, then pour 1 glass (0.2 l) of boiling water into it. Then cover the container with a lid and leave to brew for 15 minutes; after this, squeeze out the filter bag. The volume of the tincture should be brought to 0.2 l (add boiled water).

Take orally, half an hour before meals - 0.5 glass, 3 times a day.

The duration of the treatment cycle is determined by the nature of the pathology and is selected by the attending physician.

The tincture should be shaken before use.

Fitogastrol is not used in pediatrics (in persons under 12 years of age).

Use Phytogastrol (gastrointestinal collection) during pregnancy

It is prohibited to prescribe the medication during breastfeeding and pregnancy, since clinical trials of its use during these periods have not been performed.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • severe intolerance to the components of the drug;
