Ipertrofan is a medicine with the active ingredient mepartricin. It is an antibiotic with antidysuric activity; it helps to stabilize the prostate. It is usually used in cases of urinary disorders that develop due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. [ 1 ]

The drug stabilizes the urinary passage in case of prostate adenoma, reduces nocturia with pollakiuria and the urge to urinate, and also reduces the volume of residual urine. [ 2 ]

Indications Ipertrophan

It is used in cases of urinary dysfunction caused by existingprostate hyperplasia (benign type).

Release form

The drug is produced in tablets with a volume of 40 mg. The pack contains 20 such tablets.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug irreversibly synthesizes sterols inside the gastrointestinal tract, slows down the reabsorption and absorption of fractions of these elements inside the structure of the enterohepatic circulation, and in addition reduces the levels of estrogens and cholesterol with androgens inside the lumen of the prostate acinus (thereby eliminating one of the existing factors causing prostate hyperplasia (benign type)). [ 3 ]

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, the drug is not absorbed and therefore does not enter the systemic circulation.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is taken orally; it is recommended to take it with dinner - 1 tablet per day for 30 days (longer cycles are prescribed by a doctor).

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to prescribe the medication to people with severe personal sensitivity to its components.

Side effects Ipertrophan

Side effects include vomiting, gastralgia and diarrhea (only occasionally, in case of prolonged use).

Storage conditions

Hypertrofan must be stored in a place inaccessible to small children. The temperature level should not exceed 25°C.

Shelf life

Ipertrofan can be used for a period of 30 months from the date of production of the therapeutic substance.

Analogues

Analogues of the drug are Prostapol, Prostalad with Adenoritz, Trianol and Prostanorm with Peponen active, as well as Prostolon and Prosta Urgenin.
