It is a herbal preparation that has an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect on the body. The preparation also has a bronchospasmolytic effect. It is available as a light brown syrup. It has a cherry smell and a slightly cloudy appearance.
The main active ingredient is ivy, or more precisely, an extract from its leaves. There are quite a few auxiliary substances, but they do not have a pronounced therapeutic effect on the body.

Indications for use are various acute and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract. At the same time, it is almost unimportant what the etiology of the cough is. But it cannot always completely cure the disease, since it is used mainly as part of complex therapy. Nevertheless, it liquefies sputum well and promotes its removal from the body, and also eliminates spasm of the bronchi and lungs. The viscosity of sputum under the influence of the extract is significantly reduced, it becomes more liquid, easily discharged and excreted from the body. Accordingly, inflammation is reduced, recovery occurs much faster.

Pharmacodynamics
The mechanism of action is that the drug reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its removal from the bronchi and lungs. As a result, the inflammatory process is reduced. Ethanol (30% concentration) acts as an extractant.
It is not possible to conduct studies concerning the peculiarities of the course of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of this drug. This is due to the fact that the drug is a dry extract from ivy leaves in combination with biologically active components.
Dosing and administration
It can be prescribed to infants. Give no more than 2.5 ml twice a day. With age, the dosage gradually increases. Thus, children from 1 year to 6 years are prescribed 2.5-3 ml three times a day. Children of preschool and primary school age are prescribed 5 ml three times a day. The kit includes a measuring cup, with the help of which the dosage of the drug occurs. The course of treatment can only be calculated by a doctor, since in order to select a treatment, the results of laboratory tests are needed. The minimum duration of treatment is one week. If the symptoms no longer bother, the treatment must still be continued, since latent inflammatory processes may well occur, which can subsequently turn into a chronic inflammatory process.
Before use, the product must be shaken, otherwise it will not be effective. This is explained by the fact that the active substance will settle and will not have the necessary effect due to its inaccessibility to target cells.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in case of sucrose deficiency, isomaltose, in cases of fructose intolerance. Also contraindications include glucose-galactose malabsorption and cases of hypersensitivity, individual intolerance to the drug or its individual components.

Side effects are rare. In exceptional cases, allergic reactions may occur, which occur mainly in a delayed manner. These are, first of all, rash, inflammation, skin irritation. Overdose
In cases of overdose, dizziness, vomiting, and impaired consciousness are observed. It is necessary to induce vomiting, then provide the patient with plenty of fluids. In the hospital, gastric lavage is performed, after which symptomatic, supportive therapy, and detoxification treatment are carried out.
Interactions with other drugs
