Cidelon is an ophthalmic medicine with antimicrobial therapeutic activity. The drug has a combined composition and is used locally.

It has anti-inflammatory, disinfecting and anti-allergic effects. After local application of zinc sulfate, an astringent, local anti-inflammatory, and at the same time drying and disinfecting effect develops.

The drug enhances the medicinal activity of standard antimicrobial drugs when used during combination therapy.

Indications Cidelon

It is used in the case of inflammation in the anterior part of the eye, which are of a microbial nature (keratoconjunctivitis or keratitis ), and in addition, in case of an inflammatory reaction of the conjunctiva that develops after surgery.

Release form

The release of the medicinal substance is made in the form of eye drops - inside a bottle equipped with a dropper cap, with a volume of 5 or 10 ml.

Pharmacodynamics

Decamethoxin has disinfecting activity and demonstrates a wide range of antimicrobial effects in relation to gram-positive (streptococci with staphylococci and pneumococci) and -negative (meningococci with gonococci) cocci, and in addition to dermatophytes, chlamydia, pseudomonads with enterobacteria, coryphoid bacteria, and prostate bacilli.

During the use of Cidelon, resistant forms of bacteria are formed slowly.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is used in the amount of 1-2 drops 3 times a day in the area of the sore eye.

The duration of therapy is selected by the doctor, taking into account the severity and course of the pathology; the course often lasts until the signs of the disease completely disappear.

It is forbidden to appoint to persons under 12 years of age.

Use Cidelon during pregnancy

Due to the lack of experience in using the drug for hepatitis B and pregnancy, it is prescribed only after a thorough assessment of the risks and benefits.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to use in case of severe intolerance to the elements of the drug.

Side effects Cidelon

Severe intolerance to the elements of the medication can provoke symptoms of hypersensitivity. Local manifestations in the area of drug use may be noted.

Interactions with other drugs

It is forbidden to use Cidelon in combination with other ophthalmic substances.

Storage conditions

Cidelon must be kept in a place closed from the penetration of children. Temperature indicators - no more than 25 ° С.

Shelf life

Cidelon can be applied within a 36-month term from the date of manufacture of the therapeutic substance. The shelf life of an opened bottle is 2 weeks.

Analogs of the drug are Vigamox, Ophthalmodek, Okacin with Floxal, Cofloxin and Cyborate, and besides this Oftadek, Tsipromed and Okodek.
