Cabbage is used to eliminate both dry and wet coughs. It can be taken internally or applied externally.

For external use - make compresses from cabbage with honey added. To do this, take a cabbage leaf, dip it in hot water for a couple of minutes. Wait until the product softens, and then lay it out on a towel. The leaves need to be blotted on top, after which a thin layer of honey is applied. Then place the leaf with honey on the body. The honey should touch the body. Keep for 2-3 hours, wrapped in a warm blanket or scarf.

A compress can also be used for external use. To prepare it, boil a quarter of the cabbage and chop it. Place the resulting mass on gauze and mix thoroughly with honey until a uniform consistency is achieved. Wrap it up and then place the compress on the sternum area. Cover it with cellophane, a warm cloth and wrap it in a warm blanket.

To prepare such a compress, you can chop the cabbage, wrap it, but do not add honey. Honey is placed in a thin layer on top of the gauze and applied to the body. Usually applied to the sternum, but in case of a strong cough, it can also be applied to the back.

For internal use, finely chop the cabbage. Squeeze the juice out of the resulting mass, add honey, and drink one tablespoon. You can also finely chop the cabbage, let it sit for half an hour, then mix it with honey. Take in small portions throughout the day. A quarter of a small cabbage should be enough for a day.

You can also use sauerkraut. In addition to its effect on the respiratory system, it also normalizes digestion, peristalsis, and motility. To prepare the medicine, take one glass of juice, add 1 tablespoon of honey, mix thoroughly. Heat, drink warm or hot.

You can take regular sauerkraut, without juice. Mix it with honey, use 1-2 tablespoons during the day. You need to eat a small portion per day, about 100-150 grams. At night you can wash it down with cabbage juice with honey.

Cabbage leaf with honey for cough

A compress of a regular cabbage leaf with honey can help with a cough. To use it, you need to choose a large cabbage leaf and wash it thoroughly. The leaves should be juicy and fresh. It is also important that the leaves are whole and undamaged.

Immediately before the procedure, the leaves should be dipped in boiling water and held for several minutes. Then take them out, blot them with a towel, and lay them out. Put a thin layer of honey on top of the leaves and apply it to the affected area (chest or trachea). Wrap the compress on top with several layers of warm fabric or a scarf. It should be applied with the side on which the honey is located. Keep the compress for 10-15 minutes, then remove it and wipe the skin dry. Apply the compress to the back in a similar manner.

In case of severe cough, apply a compress to the back and chest, wrap well, cover the person completely with warm blankets. Leave the compress until the morning. If the compress is done during the day, then it should be followed by sleep for at least 2-3 hours, after which you can remove the compress and wipe the skin dry. After the compress, it is recommended to drink tea with honey or milk.

Usually the condition improves after the first compress, but this is not enough. To achieve a stable result, at least 7-8 compresses are required. Such treatment can be carried out on adults, children and even pregnant women. The only contraindication is an allergic reaction to honey.
