Honey for cough has long been used in folk medicine for treatment, recovery and prevention. This remedy has not lost its relevance today. Honey is a part of many pharmaceutical products, it is used in various decoctions, infusions, syrups. Cough drops are made from honey, which children love very much. This remedy is harmless and has practically no contraindications, except for cases when a person suffers from allergic reactions or diabetes.

Vodka with honey for cough

At all times, people took vodka or any other alcohol tinctures for coughs. The most famous and effective remedy is vodka mixed with honey. It is better to take the remedy at night.

The mechanism of action is that vodka has antiseptic properties, honey has a softening effect on an irritated throat, promotes the separation of mucus, and liquefies phlegm.

The easiest way is to take 1 teaspoon of honey and place it at the bottom of a glass. Pour about 100 grams of vodka on top. Drink it all at once. You can add a pinch of ground ginger. Today, a new, modified version of this remedy is increasingly used. Take the juice of half a lemon, heat it in a water bath, add a teaspoon of honey, stir thoroughly until completely dissolved. Then add 50 ml of vodka, drink it all at once, hot. Some people use radish juice instead of lemon juice. For a bad cough or runny nose, use aloe juice as a base.

Vodka with hot pepper and honey has also proven itself to be good. If a person has gastritis or an ulcer, spicy dishes are not recommended, in this case it is better to replace the pepper with viburnum berries or cranberries. It should have a uniform consistency. Add 50 ml of vodka to the resulting mixture and drink. This mixture can also be used for rubbing.

Honey and cognac for cough

Cognac has antiseptic properties, normalizes microflora, stimulates the immune system. Honey softens its effect on the mucous membrane, reduces irritation. As a result, swelling and hyperemia go away, inflammation and the infectious process are reduced.

To prepare, take 50 grams of cognac, mix with a teaspoon of honey, and drink it all at once. Then go to bed immediately. Honey and cognac are used as a base, and various active ingredients can be included in the composition, including cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, and other spices.

In the notes of Eastern healers, you can even find notes recommending drinking 50 grams of cognac with honey twice a week, at sunset. This provides reliable prevention of many colds and infectious diseases, and also eliminates the negative consequences of recently suffered diseases. With the help of this remedy, you can cure the disease, speed up the recovery process, and prevent the development of complications and relapses. Regular intake allows you to get rid of chronic cough, restores the mucous membrane of the throat and nasopharynx.

Beer with honey for cough

Beer is very often used in folk medicine. It is almost a traditional remedy for cough. The most famous method is hot beer with honey. It is recommended to take dark beer to prepare the drink. Dark beer is important because it is healthier for the body. It contains the entire necessary complex of vitamins and nutrients, yeast. Light beer, on the contrary, contains products of incomplete fermentation. In such beer, the necessary complex of vitamins and nutrients has not yet formed. Another disadvantage of light beer is that it has not yet fermented, therefore, it continues to ferment in the stomach. As a result, fermentation processes develop, the microflora is disturbed. Digestive disorders and liver pathologies develop. Light beer, unlike dark beer, is harmful even for a healthy person. and for a sick person, this is an additional burden on the body. In addition, it acts as a good breeding ground for pathogenic microflora. As a result, the inflammatory and infectious process intensifies, the disease only worsens.

The beer needs to be heated, just short of boiling. Then add 1-2 tablespoons (per bottle of beer). Mix thoroughly so that the honey dissolves completely. Drink in small sips. The beer should be hot. If it cools down, it is better to heat it up. It is better to drink this drink at night, before going to bed. Then you need to go to bed, wrapped in a warm blanket.

Throat compresses made of beer are also used. For a strong cough, half a liter of beer is heated to a warm state, honey is added. Gauze or bandage is moistened, applied to the throat, and also wrapped in cellophane or polyethylene. After this, wrap it in a cloth that will absorb moisture well. Wrap a warm scarf around the neck. After such a compress, you need to go to bed. Keep it for at least 2 hours. You can put it on overnight.

Boiled beer with honey and spices is also used. Heat the beer and bring to a boil. Once it boils, turn the heat down to low, add 2 tablespoons of honey, and stir thoroughly. After the honey has completely dissolved, add 2 cinnamon sticks, half a teaspoon of ground ginger, the same amount of nutmeg and vanilla. Squeeze the juice of one lemon. Set the juice aside, and add the remaining zest with pulp to the decoction. Boil for 7-10 minutes, set aside. Pour into a cup, add the juice of the squeezed lemon, and drink. You need to drink the entire decoction at once (hot). After this, it is advisable to go to bed.

Tea with honey and lemon for cough

The most common method of treating cough is tea with honey. It is done quite simply, it does not even require a special description. You need to make regular tea and add honey to it to taste. Drink it hot. You can use any tea: black, green, with the addition of fruits or flower petals. You can use hibiscus tea, or herbal teas and decoctions. Drink in unlimited quantities. You can also add lemon, warming spices. You can take tea with milk as a base.

To prepare it, you will need regular tea. Add honey to taste, and 1-2 pieces of lemon with the peel. Drink hot, several times a day. It is useful to drink tea at night. Chamomile with honey for cough

It is best to take a decoction of chamomile with honey. To prepare such a decoction, take 10-15 grams of chamomile, pour 500 ml of boiling water. Pine cones with honey for cough

To prepare an ointment from pine cones, it is recommended to take the cones, pour a glass of boiling water over them. Boil, without bringing to a boil, add honey. The resulting decoction is used to rub the surface of the skin when coughing fits appear. You can also drink 1 teaspoon three times a day.
