Medication Troxevasin-gel is indicated for use in pain and swelling, which are caused by injuries - bruises, sprains and so on. Also, the drug is used for varicose dermatitis, periphlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, seizures and paresthesia. The drug is necessary for chronic venous insufficiency, which is characterized by heaviness in the legs, fatness and fatigue of the legs, as well as the appearance of vascular asterisks and meshes.
Release form
Produced in the form of gel from yellowish to light brown color, intended for external use. The drug is packaged in aluminum tubes, which have an internal lacquer coating. Each tube is closed by an aluminum membrane. In some cases, the drug is produced in a laminate plastic tube, equipped with an aluminum membrane. The tube is placed in a cardboard box and is accompanied by a leaflet with the instruction. In each one gram of Troxevasin-gel there are twenty milligrams of active substance - troxerutin. Also in the preparation there is a certain content of auxiliary substances - carbomer, trolamine, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.
Pharmacodynamics
Troxevasin-gel is a flavonoid-derived routine. It is characterized by vitamin activity of vitamin P, which leads to venotoxic, venoprotective, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory, anti-scavenging and antioxidant actions. Helps reduce the fragility and permeability of capillaries, which leads to an increase in their tone. It leads to an increase in the vessel wall, has an effect on the exudation of fluid in the plasma in the direction of its decrease. It leads to a decrease in inflammatory processes in the walls of the vessels by limiting the adhesion of platelets to their surfaces.
Pharmacokinetics
The local use of troxevasin-gel promotes rapid penetration of the active component through the epidermis. Half an hour later the substance is observed in the dermis, and within two to five hours it enters the subcutaneous fatty tissue.
Dosing and administration
Troxevasin-gel is for external use. The gel should be applied to the desired area of the skin twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, with soft rubbing until the drug is absorbed into the skin. If there is a need, you can put bandages or other protective dressings over the gel. The course of treatment with the drug is individual and is determined in each case by specialists.
