Dosing and administration
The iodide-pharmacist must be taken after a meal to avoid irritation of the gastric mucosa. Drink tablets better with drinks that have the properties to envelop mucous (milk, jelly).
The course of taking an average of several months to several years, sometimes the drug must be drunk throughout life. Usually it is prescribed 50-100 mkg per day for newborns, 150-200 mkg for pregnancy and feeding, 100-200 mkg for adults and adolescents.

The drug can be mixed with newborns and children with food or drinks.
Use Iodide-Farmak during pregnancy

Contraindications

Overdose
Iodide-pharmacist in high doses (more than 300 mg per day) can provoke excessive production of thyroid hormones, especially in old age.
Also, an overdose of the drug can cause irritation of the stomach mucosa, hives, allergic rhinitis, and Quincke's edema.
When taking more than 1000 mcg per day, there may be a decrease in the production of thyroid hormones (hypothyroidism).
Interactions with other drugs
Iodide-pharmacist in hyperthyroidism can strengthen or go to reduce thyreostatic treatment, so you should exclude the use of drugs containing iodine.
Reduces the therapeutic effect of the drug perchlorate, thiocyanate, enhances - thyroid-stimulating hormone.
Simultaneous reception of iodide-pharmacists and potassium-preserving diuretics can provoke hyperkalemia, combinations with preparations containing lithium - can cause an increase in the thyroid gland and decrease in the production of hormones.
Storage conditions
The iodide-pharmacist should be stored in a place protected from light, moisture, at a temperature of no more than 25 ° C.
