Pharmacodynamics
Dalfuzin selectively blocks adrenoreceptor alpha 1 in the urethra, prostate gland, bladder, removes spasms, reduces internal pressure, thereby improving urination.
The medication corrects the urodynamic parameters: it reduces the tension in the urethra, the resistance to urine outflow, facilitates the process of urination and bladder release.
Pharmacokinetics
Dalfusin is well absorbed in the digestive tract. The maximum value of the active substance reaches in the blood on average after three hours.
About 90% of the drug binds to blood proteins. Half-life from the body is about 8 hours, 11% of the active substance (alfusose) is excreted by the kidneys, splitting occurs mainly in the liver, most of the medicament is excreted with feces in the form of inactive metabolites.
In the elderly, there is a higher concentration of the active substance in the blood plasma and the bioavailability of the drug, the half-life remains the same.
With renal failure, the rates of excretion of the active substance from the body and the volume of distribution increase. In severe forms of renal failure, the drug does not accumulate in the body due to enhanced biotransformation.
Dosing and administration
Dalfuzin is prescribed to adult patients 5 mg (1 tablet) twice a day. Medication should be taken after meals, tablets are not recommended to chew or break. Treatment is best to begin with an evening reception.
In old age, with renal failure, when taking drugs to increase blood pressure, is prescribed at 5 mg in the evening (if necessary, the doctor can increase the dosage to two tablets a day).
In a day is not recommended to take more than 10 mg of the drug.

Use Dalfusin during pregnancy
Dalfuzin is not prescribed to pregnant women. Studies on the safety of the drug during this period was not conducted.
Contraindications
Dalfusin is contraindicated in cases of increased susceptibility of the organism to certain components of the drug, reduced arterial pressure, liver failure, and also during the administration of other adrenoblockers of the alpha 1 receptors.
Side effects Dalfusin
Dalfuzin can provoke headaches, tinnitus, weakness. In rare cases, fainting, drowsiness, and neuropsychiatric weakness are observed.

Overdose
Dalfuzin in case of taking in excess of the recommended dose leads to a decrease in pressure. Treatment in case of an overdose of the drug symptomatic (the introduction of vasoconstrictor drugs, solutions of high molecular substances, etc.). Artificial purification of blood in this case is ineffective.
Storage conditions
Dalfusin should be kept closed dry in a place that does not penetrate sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 25 ° C. The medicine is stored in a place remote from small children.
Shelf life
