Dalatsin T refers to the external antimicrobial drugs, which are used to treat inflammatory processes on the skin and acne.
The medication is for external topical use only. When absorbed into the skin, the active substance can have a systemic effect. Like most antibiotics, Dalacin T can provoke stool disorder and inflammation of the intestines, but with local use this side reaction of the body develops extremely rarely.
Indications Dalacin T
Dalatsin T is prescribed for inflammation of the sebaceous glands (acne vulgaris).
[1]
Release form
Dalacin T is available as a transparent gel, which is used externally. The drug contains clindamycin (an analog of lincomycin), which has a rather narrow range of antimicrobial activity.
[2],
Pharmacodynamics
Dalatsin T refers to the semisynthetic antibiotics of the lincosamide group. The active substance - clindamycin - is active against propionibacterium acne, which are the main causes of acne and inflammation on the skin.
Clindamycin does not have antifungal activity.
[3]
Pharmacokinetics
Dalacin T was tested on extracts from the contents of acne. Clinical studies have shown that local use of the drug can suppress the reproduction of bacteria that cause inflammation and acne on the skin.
Gel reduces the level of free fatty acids. Regular use of Dalacin T leads to a slight increase in the level of clinamycin in blood plasma and urine.
[4],
Dosing and administration
Dalatsin T is applied to acne prone areas and inflammations of the skin with a thin layer. The gel should be applied twice a day on clean skin.
[7]
