One of the representatives of the perennial herbaceous plant, belonging to the family of poppies, is Chistotela grass. This plant familiar to all grows to almost a meter height. It can be found in the fields of Europe, the Caucasus, and in the Central Asian countries. Most often, alternative medicine uses the top part of the plant, although its roots are not excluded.

Cleanness herb is used in many recipes of alternative medicine. However, it should be remembered that this plant is used strictly according to prescription schemes, and in some cases it is recommended that the doctor be constantly monitored. Purity herb is a special plant that can cure a variety of diseases, but with improper and uncontrolled application it can cause serious poisoning.

Indications of the celandine grass

In the old days, Cleistela was often used to treat cutaneous tuberculosis, rheumatism and gout. External application of the plant was popular for getting rid of warts and calloused formations, weed deprivation, eczematous eruptions and skin oncology: mostly juice of stems and ointments made on its basis was used. Decoction of the plant is often used for bathing children with all kinds of skin lesions.

In modern recipes of alternative medicine, Cleistela, the herb is used as infusion or a leading raw material in the composition of medicinal collections, which are successfully used in diseases of the liver and cholecystitis, for the treatment of gout and many dermatitis. Cases of curing with hot baths with celandine from psoriasis are recorded. With this disease, fat-based ointments are also effective with the use of extracts or celandine juice, against the background of internal use of the tincture on the purifier.

Positive results were obtained from clinical trials using Chistotela grass in the treatment of itching dermatosis.

During the tests, water extracts from fresh or dry raw materials were used, which were applied as compresses, lotions or trays. After two or three days, the patients noted the disappearance of the itching, the tightening of wounds and erosions, a reduction in the infiltration of the skin. We completed the treatment using ointments based on celandine grass, which once again proved the presence of restorative and keratolytic abilities of the plant.

During long-term observations antipruritic, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties of celandine have been proven.

Cleanness herb is effective for periodontitis (pyorrhea), stomatitis, poorly healing wound surfaces, erosive lesions.

Pharmacodynamic properties are very versatile. Meanwhile, the main properties of plants are rightly considered spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory and cholagogue. The alkaloids of the plant show the most pronounced activity. For example, the action of chelidonin - calming and analgesic - resembles the properties of the strongest alkaloids of papaverine and morphine. In addition, this alkaloid is able to lower blood pressure, slow the heart rate, remove the spasms of smooth muscles.

The next alkaloid of the plant - homochelidonin - has a somewhat opposite effect, having a convulsively-stimulating effect.

Protopin - has a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system and improves smooth muscle tone.

Of the many components of celandine, perhaps most known is sanguirithrin. This substance has a pronounced anticholinesterase effect, and also enhances the effect of acetylcholine and facilitates muscular-nerve conduction.

Sanguirythrin is destructive to both gram (+) and gram (-) microorganisms, candida and trichomonads.
