Fact is a drug from the spectrum of antibiotics. One of the main active substances is hemifloxacin. The factor belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. It is an antibacterial medication that has bactericidal activity - destroying various forms of bacteria in the body, which contributes to the healing process. The action of the drug extends to the following groups of microorganisms: Gram-positive and Gram-negative, anaerobic and aerobic, atypical. Due to this, treatment can occur with any disease, regardless of the group of pathogens.

Another important active substance - hemifloxacin - will help you overcome the resistance that could occur when taking other antibiotics.

Facial medicine has a second, non-proprietary name - Gemifloxacin (by name of the active substance).

Indications Factual

The medication should be used in case of infectious and inflammatory diseases that were caused by sensitivity to hemifloxacin by other microorganisms. Indications for taking medication apply to the treatment of the following diseases: complications or exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute inflammation of the lungs, which was caused by polysuristant microbes, as well as with acute sinusitis.

The medication is forbidden for admission by patients who have not reached the age of 18.

Pharmacodynamics

Since hemifloxacin is a preparation against microbes by a representative of a group of fluoroquinolones. The substance has a strong effect on harmful bacteria and on various groups of microorganisms. The active ingredient Faktiva violates those harmful processes that inhibit the formation of enzymes, which are necessary for the growth of beneficial bacteria in the body. Gemifloxacin is highly related to bacterial topoisomerases II (DNA-gyrase) and IV.

The mechanism of action on various fluoroquinolones, including hemifloxacin, differs from various beta-lactam antibiotics.
In the pharmacodynamics of Fakiva, there was no cross-reactivity between hemifloxacin and other different antibiotics from other groups.
The substance of hemifloxacin is active in the fight against a large number of microorganisms that arise in the body in various diseases.

Pharmacokinetics

Pharmacokinetics of the drug Factive has the principle of linear action, when it enters the body. The medication is taken orally in the body in a dose calculation of 40 to 640 mg.
The factor is rapidly absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract.
The time interval, the amount of food intake in no way can affect the pharmacokinetics of Faktiv, therefore, these tablets are allowed regardless of the time of ingestion.
At repeated reception, Factive is associated with plasma. The percentage that binds does not depend on various indicators, for example - age ..
The concentration of the active substance hemifloxacin in the bronchi is higher than in the blood plasma, so it quickly penetrates into the lung tissue.
In a small amount, the medication can be collected in the liver. After three hours after taking the drug, it predominates over metabolites in the blood plasma.
Fact is excreted through the intestine and with urine.
At the moment there are no any data on the pharmacokinetics in children under 18 years old.

The average recommended dose of the drug is one tablet (320 mg) per day, regardless of the time of ingestion.

In the case of pneumonia, the Factive is used for a week once a day. If the symptoms of bronchial asthma worsen, the course lasts five days. The same amount of time is spent treating acute sinusitis.

But with a possible kidney disease and other types of disruption of the genitourinary system, possible renal failure, the dosage is reduced exactly twice - 160 mg once a day.

The fact is not recommended for children who have not yet reached the age of eighteen. Also, avoid taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation.
