Ukrliv is a medicine that is used in cases in which it is necessary to dissolve X-ray negative cholesterol gallstones. Provided that these stones will not exceed fifteen millimeters in diameter. It is suitable for those who have problems with the functioning of the gallbladder.

Also, this medication is used for liver disease and the entire system of bile-excreting tracts. Ukrliv refers to the pharmacological group of drugs that are used in cases of biliary pathology.

Indications Ukrliv

Indications for use Ukrliv apply to a group of patients who have problems with excretion and dissolution of stones in the gallbladder. Ukrliv dissolves cholesterol stones in the gallbladder, and also prevents the appearance and deposition of new stones. Indications for use Ukrliv are also relevant in diseases that are caused by stagnation of bile in the liver and gall bladder.

Ukrliv is used in the complex treatment of primary cirrhosis of the liver.

Medicinal medicine Ukrliv is available in the form of tablets and suspensions.

Ukrliv tablets are available in pharmacies with ten blisters. Each pack can have thirty or one hundred tablets. Each tablet contains 250 milligrams of the drug, it has a white color. The suspension is available in 200 ml vials. The medicinal liquid has a white color.

As a liquid suspension, Ukrliv is provided with a viscous white liquid and has a lemon flavor. Produced in a plastic jar containing two hundred milliliters of medicinal medicine. Suspension for newborns

If a neonatal child develops a neonatal jaundice (popularly called a "jaundice"), the pediatrician may prescribe the treatment with Ukrliv. In this case, you need to build on the weight of your child's body.

Children weighing about five kilograms should take a suspension of 1.25 milliliters per day. The measuring spoon in this case will not help you. To receive the medication you need to get liquid into the syringe, so it will be more convenient to control the dose of the medication.

The course of treatment for infants is rarely a few weeks, so be prepared for the bottle of the drug to remain barely begun.

It is not recommended to use Ukrliv in the form of tablets to treat icicles for infants, so you can not calculate the necessary dose of medication and complicate the use of the medication.

Pills

Ukrliv tablets are another of the produced forms of this medication. Dosage form for release - plates numbered thirty and one hundred (indicate how many units of medicinal product are contained in the package). The package also contains instructions for use.

Syrup

Syrup Ukrliv is a preparation for oral administration. It is a liquid suspension with a light aroma of lemon. First has a light and sweetish taste, after swallowing the medicine in the mouth, there is a strong bitterness.

Ukrliv syrup is sold in plastic bottles with a wide throat. Each package contains a measuring spoon and instructions for use.

Pharmacodynamics

In human bile, normal processes of vital activity usually contain a small percentage of ursodeoxycholic acid. But after oral ingestion of this acid occurs, the absorption of cholesterol in the small intestine of the gastrointestinal tract slows down, then the secretion of cholesterol in the bile decreases. It is due to these processes of dissolving cholesterol, the subsequent creation of liquid crystalline formations and the processes of dissolution of gallstones.

In the modern view of pharmacists, ursodeoxycholic acid, when painful liver processes occur, causes the effect of replacing lipophilic acids with hydrophilic acids, which are non-toxic.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug Ukrliv is applied orally and begins to act when absorbed into the small intestine. Also, the action of the drug is spread to the upper part of the ileum during active transfer. The drug is absorbed almost completely - up to eighty percent of the dose. After the absorption processes have occurred, bile acid passes through hepatic conjugation with the following amino acids - glycine and taurine. After that, the acid interacts with bile. The degree of passage through the liver exceeds sixty percent.

Intestinal bacteria degrade some part of lithocholic acid.

The processes of acid half-life occur after three, maximum eight days.

Dosing and administration

One of the advantages of this medication is the absence of age restriction. The dose of the drug is calculated only based on the weight of the patient. If the total mass is less than forty-seven kilograms, and there are difficulties with swallowing tablets, it is necessary to take the Ukrliv suspension.

Calculation of the daily dose goes as follows: per kilogram of weight, you need ten grams of medication.

  • Up to 60 kg - two tablets
  • Up to 80 kg - three tablets
  • Up to a hundred kg - four tablets
  • From a hundred kg - five tablets

The drug should be drunk once a day, taking all the pills one at a time and washing down with a large amount of liquid. Only in the first three months of the course can you break the intake of the drug several times a day - one tablet. Ukrliv reception is recommended in the evening, before bedtime. It is not recommended to interrupt treatment - it is necessary to regularly receive medication in the body.

The course can last from six months to two years - it is at this time that a complete breakdown of gallstones occurs. The success of treatment is checked by X-ray and / or ultrasound.

Use Ukrliv during pregnancy

Women, before starting taking medication, it is necessary to completely exclude the possibility of becoming pregnant - the first trimester fruit is particularly susceptible to any medications. Using Ukrliv during pregnancy can lead to irreversible effects in the development of the fetus, and therefore his reception is categorically prohibited. The decision to prescribe a medicine is accepted only by the attending physician and only in the event that there is a serious threat to the health and life of the mother.

For those women who are in the lactation period and are breast-fed, it is not recommended to use the drug Ukrliv, since at present no studies have been published on the neutral transfer of medication through breast milk. Simultaneous reception of the drug during breastfeeding will have a negative impact on the baby - as his healthy body can not cope with the metabolites of the medication.

Contraindications

If the patient has a sensitivity or hypersensitivity to the constituent elements of the medicine, which are part of the drug Ukrliv, reception is prohibited. Also, contraindications to the use of Ukrliv apply to those who have inflammation of the gallbladder or inflammation of one of the bile ducts.

When clogging the bile duct, the medication is also prohibited. The prohibition is extended to cases if the gallbladder is not visualized by the x-ray. If the full-fledged work of the gallbladder is disrupted and if there are periodic unpleasant sensations in the area of the gall bladder, it is necessary to stop taking the medicinal preparation Ukriliv.

With an exacerbation of cirrhosis, the use of Ukrliv is contraindicated.

Overdose

In clinical trials, cases of overdose did not lead to serious side effects. In some cases, the appearance of diarrhea - you may need regular monitoring of the liver. A gradual decrease in the dose of Ukrliv may help. If the side effect is not extinguished - it is necessary to finally stop taking the drug.

Overdosing, which led to diarrhea, is treated symptomatically. It is necessary to maintain a fluid balance.

In order to bind the bile acid in the intestine, ion-exchange resin can help you. Consult with the therapist, before taking it, to establish the presence or absence of contraindications specifically in your case.

Interactions with other drugs

When Ukrliv is combined with any other drugs, it is necessary to check the compatibility of the components of each drug. Since cholestyramine, various anacides, smectites can bind to bile acid and suppress ursodeoxycholic. If it is impossible to avoid the use of these drugs, delineate their reception by a temporary rupture of at least two hours.

With the simultaneous administration of ursodeoxycholic acid and cyclosporine, the level of the latter may increase.

Avoid taking drugs that increase the excretion of cholesterol - estrogenic hormones, oral contraceptives, clofibrate.

There is a negative interaction with ciprofloxacin - its level is decreasing.

Storage conditions

Storage conditions Ukrliv provide a dry place, which will be protected from direct sunlight and other light sources. The temperature at which the drug is stored should not exceed room temperature (25 ° C). If you do not use the suspension, carefully monitor the tightness of the package, since the open product, when interacting with air, drastically shortens the shelf life.

The place you choose for storage must be protected from children and pets.

Also, mothers, who treated jaundice of their babies with the help of Ukrliv, leave positive responses. This drug helps in a short time in a few days to heal the child's body from unpleasant symptoms. It can be repelled by the fact that for the course of treatment the baby uses a maximum of thirty milliliters of the drug, and the rest of the suspension will quickly become unusable.

Among doctors, reviews about Ukrliv are mostly positive - as this is one of the few drugs that during the first weeks gives a significant positive effect on the body.
