Entoban has antimicrobial, antidiarrheal and antiprotozoal effect, with diarrhea of a different nature it has an antispasmodic effect. Its medicinal activity is associated with the action of plant elements that are part of the drug.
The drug has a protective effect on the gastrointestinal mucosa, and in addition, it reduces elevated gastric pH and stabilizes intestinal peristalsis; also has antibacterial and soothing properties.[1]
Release form
The release of the therapeutic substance is realized in the form of capsules, 20 or 60 pieces each inside the box. Also produced in the form of a syrup - inside bottles with a volume of 90, 120 or 150 ml.
Pharmacodynamics
Holarrhena antidysenterica has an amoebicidal effect. It is used as an anthelmintic, diuretic, astringent and antipyretic substance, and also for colic, bleeding, dyspepsia.
Myrtus communis exhibits antispasmodic, antidiarrheal, bactericidal, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, astringent and antibacterial activity. Strengthens the strength of the capillaries.
Berberis aristata stabilizes the liver, and is also used as an astringent, antipyretic, tonic. [2]
Egle marmalade has a hypoglycemic, bactericidal and anti-febrile effect.
Quercus velutina is used as a bactericidal and binding agent. [3]
Butea monosperma has an astringent effect on microbial diarrhea.
Dosing and administration
The medicine in capsules is used first in a portion of 2 pieces 1 time, and then in 1 capsule at 4-hour intervals. The treatment cycle lasts 3-5 days. With amebiasis, the therapeutic course should be increased to 10 days (1 capsule at 4-hour intervals), regardless of the symptoms that may disappear before the end of the course.
Syrup for adolescents from 12 years old and adults is prescribed in a portion of 3-4 teaspoons, with the intake at 4-hour intervals. For a child 6-11 years old - 1-2 teaspoons with the same interval; a child of 4-6 years old - 1 teaspoon (5 ml) with the same interval. This treatment cycle lasts 3-5 days.
- Application for children
The medication in the form of capsules is not used in pediatrics. The syrup can be administered to children over 4 years of age.
Use Entoban during pregnancy
Entoban is not used during pregnancy and hepatitis B.
Contraindications
The main contraindications:
- hepatic dysfunction;
- active forms of inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract (gastrointestinal ulcer, gastritis and exacerbation of chronic gastritis);
- blockage of the intestines;
- diarrhea provoked by helminthiasis, dysentery or saline-type laxatives (Mg sulfate and Na sulfate);
- the presence of manifestations of severe dehydration and violations of EBV indicators;
- severe intolerance to the elements of the drug.
Side effects Entoban
Side effects include nausea, signs of allergies and vomiting. In case of occurrence of these violations, it is necessary to cancel the use of drugs.
Overdose
In case of an overdose, it is necessary to carry out gastric lavage and symptomatic measures.
Storage conditions
Entoban should be kept at temperatures not exceeding 25 ° C.
Shelf life
Entoban can be applied within a 24-month term from the date of manufacture of the drug substance.

Analogues of the drug are Lecor, Intetrix with Enterofuril and Nifuroxazide with Stopdiar.
