Biostrepta has proteolytic medicinal activity. The medication contains complex active ingredients.

Streptokinase is an element that activates the action of the proenzyme plasminogen (the activity demonstrated by streptokinase leads to its transformation into plasmin, and this component is able to dissolve blood clots formed inside the body). [1]

Streptodornase is an enzyme that can dissolve the existing clots of accumulated dead cells, as well as pus and nucleoproteins, without affecting the physiological activity of living cells.

The introduction of the drug increases the speed of passage to the inflammation zone and the effectiveness of the action of other medicines (chemotherapy or antibiotics).

Indications Biostrepta

It is used during the combined treatment of inflammations (of a chronic nature) in the pelvic area, against the background of which fistulas , adhesions and abscesses appear, accompanied by the appearance of a purulent infiltrate.

It is also prescribed for infertility and ovarian cysts (benign).

Release form

The release of the medication is made in the form of rectal suppositories - 6 pieces each inside the cell pack.

Dosing and administration

Biostrept suppositories are inserted deep into the rectum. For the first 3 days, use the 1st suppository 3 times a day; during the next 3-day cycle - 2 times a day; and during the last 3-day course - 1 suppository per day. The duration of therapy is determined by the severity of the disease, averaging within 7-10 days.

To prevent the development of adhesions associated with minimally invasive operations, the medication is administered one day after the procedure. In the case of strip type transactions - starting from the 7th day.

Not used in pediatrics (persons under 12 years of age).

Use Biostrepta during pregnancy

Cannot be administered to pregnant women (especially in the 2nd trimester).

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

  • use together with medications containing the Ca element.
