But as we know, children do not like herbal decoctions and infusions, but they gladly drink sweet syrups based on cough. Such a tasty syrup can be made from the flowers of a violet tricolor. Since the evening 1 tbsp. Dry flowers pour 0.5 liters of boiling water and leave until the morning. After 12 hours the composition is filtered and mixed with 0.5 kg of granulated sugar. Contraindications
Violet is considered a safe plant and has very few contraindications. It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to the plant, in the first trimester of pregnancy, during lactation (it can change the taste of milk, which will cause the child to give up breast), glomerulonephritis, hepatitis. In the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy, violet can be used after consultation with a doctor.
Broth violets can be given even to small children, however, up to 2 years, the amount of medication per day is limited to 1 glass. But the infusion and syrup are recommended starting from the age of 12.
The course of treatment with violet should not exceed 1 month. After a break, treatment can be repeated.
