Release form

The preparation is available in the form of capsules. One blister contains 10 capsules; one cardboard package contains 3 blisters with capsules.

Pharmacodynamics

The active substance of the drug is tamsulosin hydrochloride, which blocks the postsynaptic adrenoreceptors of the α-1D and α-1A groups in the smooth muscles of the prostate, the neck of the ureter, and the prostatic area of the urethra. Under the influence of the drug, smooth muscles relax, there is an improvement in detrusor functioning, and irritation and obstruction, which result from benign prostatic hyperplasia, disappear. Adenorm does not cause systemic BP changes even in those patients who suffer from hypertension. The maximum therapeutic effect of this drug reaches 2 weeks after the start of therapy.

Pharmacokinetics

After internal administration, tamsulosin is rapidly absorbed into the digestive tract. The maximum saturation in the blood plasma the active component reaches 6 hours after a single dose. The drug has high rates of binding to plasma proteins (up to 99%). Metabolism of tamsulosin occurs in the liver. In the process, metabolites with a weaker pharmacological effect are formed.

After a single use, the half-life is 10 hours. If the medication is regular, the half-life of the active substance is increased to 13 hours. The drug is excreted through the kidneys, most often under the guise of metabolites. A maximum of 10% of the substance is unchanged.

Contraindications

Among the contraindications:

  • High individual sensitivity to individual elements of the drug;
  • Patients undergoing a therapeutic course due to a violation of liver activity in severe form, as well as patients who have an anamnesis with orthostatic collapse.

With special care, it is necessary to appoint Adenorm to people with functional impairment of the kidneys (patients with a rate of purification of creatinine less than 10ml / minute).

Side effects of the adenorm

In general, the drug is tolerated by patients without complications, but in some cases, as a result of its use, such adverse reactions were observed:

  • Organs of the cardiovascular system: heart rhythm disturbances, fainting, orthostatic collapse;
  • CNS organs: weakness in muscles, headaches;

Overdose

In the case of drug overdose, the patients had a decrease in blood pressure, as well as the appearance of compensatory tachycardia.

Interactions with other drugs

In combination with drugs from the category of α 1 -adrenoreceptor blockers can cause a decrease in blood pressure.

With the joint adenorma and cimetidine, a slight increase in the saturation of tamsulosin in the blood plasma occurs.

During the interaction of the drug with furosemide, a slight decrease in the saturation of the active element in the plasma is observed.

When Adenorm is combined with warfarin, as well as diclofenac, the half-life of tamsulosin decreases.
