Venolan is a medicine that stabilizes the state of capillaries and, in addition, has protective properties in relation to them.
Indications Venolana
It is used to eliminate the following violations:
- problems with lymph flow and blood flow inside the veins, which are observed with vascular inflammation in the legs, post-thrombotic syndromes, and also varicose veins of the legs;
- local swelling of various origins (thrombosis or phlebitis of lymphatic, post-traumatic or complicated nature);
- ulcers in the shin area, which are of varicose origin, and also hemorrhoids;
- disorder of capillary stability with a tendency to develop point-type hemorrhages.

Release form
The release is made in capsules, 25 pieces inside a blister plate. The box contains 1 or 2 such plates.
Pharmacodynamics
The component troxerutin is a flavonoid derivative that has a protective effect on the membranes of blood vessels. The drug has a capillary-protective, anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, and also venotonic effect in the treatment of disorders of the lymph flow processes with blood flow in the veins.
The effect of bioflavonoids promotes the development of angioprotective influence, strengthening the strength of capillaries, and in addition to this, their elasticity together with elasticity, and in addition, resistance to traumatic damage. All this helps to stabilize blood microcirculation, improve nutritional processes inside tissues, and at the same time reduce the likelihood of developing stagnation inside the veins with perivenous tissues.
The antioxidant effect of troxerutin helps slow down the oxidation processes of vitamin C in the body. In addition, it is an indirect participant in the processes of binding the structural component of connective tissues - collagen. Along with this, troxerutin participates in the formation of a physiological element that slows down the activity of hyaluronidase.
The medication helps improve the rheological parameters of the blood.

Pharmacokinetics
Troxerutin is absorbed quite quickly inside the gastrointestinal tract. The results of the conducted studies make it possible to evaluate the pharmacokinetic properties of the substance and its bioavailability indicators. It was found that the peak values of the component are noted after 1 hour after taking the capsules and are 81.00±2.94 ng/ml. The biological half-life of the element is 8 73±0.88 hours.
In the blood, the drug is present in a free form, and also in the form of glucuronic derivatives and trioxyethylquercetin.
Since troxerutin passes through the liver and intestines, it remains in the body for a long time. During therapy, the substance does not cause any changes in the existing morphological parameters of the blood, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and in addition, in the level of bilirubin with urea and the blood coagulation system of aminotransferase. This allows us to conclude that the drug does not have a burdensome effect on metabolic processes inside the liver.
Excretion occurs mainly with bile (65%) and then with feces. A small portion of the substance is excreted in urine.
