Release form
The release occurs in tablets, 20 pieces inside a blister pack. The pack contains 1 blister plate. The blister can also contain 25 tablets, in this case there will be 2 blister packs inside the box.
Pharmacodynamics
Aescin, which is the main active ingredient of the Aesculus seed extract, has vasoconstrictive and antiexudative properties.
The extract obtained from the seeds of Aesculus reduces the effect of lysosomal enzymes (their activity increases in chronic venous diseases), which helps prevent mucopolysaccharide degradation (glycocalyx element) on the surface of capillary walls. Strengthening the vascular strength prevents the filtration of low-molecular proteins, as well as water with electrolytes into the intracellular environment.
The medication eliminates the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency (feelings of fatigue, tension and heaviness, as well as pain, itching and swelling in the legs).
Dosing and administration
It is necessary to take the drug twice a day in the amount of 1 tablet (in the morning and in the evening), before eating. It is not necessary to chew the tablet, it is necessary to swallow it whole and wash it down with plain water.
The duration of therapy is selected by the doctor, for each patient individually - taking into account the medicinal effect of the drug and the severity of the pathology. On average, the course lasts for 2-3 months.

Overdose
In case of intoxication, the effect of side effects may be potentiated. Thrombosis, nephrotic manifestations and a decrease in blood pressure values develop.
Taking the fruits of Aesculus can cause the following signs of intoxication: severe diarrhea, which also leads to vomiting, and in addition to this, a feeling of anxiety. There is also a feeling of drowsiness, mydriasis and a state of delirium. Due to respiratory paralysis, death may occur after 1-2 days.
Interactions with other drugs
The medication is capable of potentiating the properties of antithrombotic drugs.
Cephalosporins increase the levels of free escin in the blood, and in addition, the likelihood of side effects.
It is necessary to avoid the combined use of Venoplant with aminoglycosides, because this may increase the toxic effect of aminoglycosides on the kidneys.
Storage conditions
Venoplant should be kept out of the reach of small children. The temperature should not exceed 25°C.
Shelf life
Venoplant can be used for 3 years from the date of manufacture of the drug.
Reviews
Venoplant receives mostly positive reviews from patients. Many note that it was effective in eliminating the problems they had, without causing the development of side effects.
The drug often receives a positive assessment due to its plant origin - this is what determines the almost complete absence of contraindications and side effects of the drug.
