Means for vaginal application Vagisan refers to probiotic drugs that are used in fungal diseases and manifestations of stability disorders of the microflora of the vaginal environment.
Indications Vagisan
Medicinal probiotic agent Vagisan can be prescribed as a therapeutic and preventive measures of pathological disorders of the natural microflora of the vaginal environment. The drug is allowed to use by women and girls who have reached puberty.
As a rule, this medication is used for infectious pathologies (in the complex of treatment of contact infections), with prolonged therapy with antibiotics, with vaginal dysbacteriosis (due to the use of oral contraceptives or hormonal drugs), during pregnancy or after birth to restore microflora.
In addition, the drug is used in combined therapy of urogenital infectious pathology, or in the imbalance of microflora, provoked by stressful situations or a drop in body immunity.
Release form
The product is produced in dense gelatin capsules of a light shade containing a powdery substance of beige color.
Carton factory packaging includes a blister with 15 capsules for internal reception.
Each capsular form consists of a complex of live lactobacilli in a total amount of not less than 1˟109 CFU. Among the additional substances in the preparation are glucose, potato starch, magnesium stearate and cellulose.

Pharmacodynamics
The oral preparation helps to stabilize the normal composition of the microflora of the vaginal environment. Vagisan consists of live lactobacilli, most of which inhabit the vagina under normal conditions. Vagisan supports the natural acid reaction of the medium, which does not favor the growth and development of pathogenic bacteria.
The normal composition of the microflora is lactobacilli and other non-pathogenic microorganisms, opportunistic fungi and bacteria. In stressful situations, when antibiotics are treated, immunity decreases or when other pathological factors are affected, the balance of the microflora is disturbed, the number of opportunistic bacterial strains increases, which causes the appearance of diseases and leads to the danger of unimpeded introduction of an alien infection.
Oral remedy Vagishan should contribute to the formation of a balance of microflora and its further support. Due to this, the danger of a number of various urological and gynecological infectious pathologies is reduced.
Dosing and administration
Capsule form Vagisan is intended for oral internal use.
It is recommended to take the medication at the same time as eating, and then take a capsule of 150-200 ml of liquid.
The duration of the treatment course and the dosage of the drug should be determined by the doctor, taking into account the degree of dysbiosis and the presence of concomitant therapy.
When combined treatment of acute and chronic forms of the balance of the vaginal environment, the drug is used in an amount of 1 to 2 capsules per day.
The duration of treatment with the drug during the treatment complex is usually 14-28 days.
With concomitant antibacterial therapy, the use of Vagisan is recommended in the amount of 2 capsules during the day.
The duration of the use of this medication with antimicrobial therapy is usually not less than 14 days. When combined antibiotic therapy with Vagisan is mandatory, the interval between doses should not be less than 2 hours.
According to the conducted studies, when using only one capsule per day, a pronounced drug effect was observed already on the 8-10th day of application.

The oral Vagisan is permitted for use by pregnant and lactating women, if there is appropriate medical evidence.

Clinical studies have shown that the oral drug Vagisan does not cause the formation of side effects.
Patients who are addicted to allergies can be expected to develop an allergic reaction.

Storage conditions
Vagisan medicinal medication is preferably stored in a refrigerator, on shelves not accessible to children.
Shelf life
The shelf life of the drug is 2 years, subject to proper storage conditions. After the expiration date, the capsules should be discarded.
