Release form

Univit is released in the form of film-coated tablets, 10 pieces per plate.

Pharmacodynamics

The role of retinol (vit A) in the body is the production of protein enzymes and tissue building blocks. The vitamin takes part in the formation of epithelial cells, and also forms the structure of the skeletal system and the production of rhodopsin (visual pigment), creates favorable conditions for the reproduction of immune system cells (macrophages and lymphocytes), for the production of immunoglobulins and other protective factors.

Cholecalciferol (vitamin D³) normalizes calcium and phosphorus metabolism, takes part in the structural development of the skeletal system, and serves as a preventative measure against rickets in childhood.

Nicotinamide is essential for normal cellular gas exchange processes and is involved in the metabolic processes of carbohydrates and fats.

Thiamine (vitamin B¹) is an essential coenzyme in the process of carbohydrate metabolism, which also ensures the functioning of the nervous system as a whole.

Calcium pantothenate is one of the components of coenzyme A. Its role is to maintain the full function of the Krebs cycle (aerobic metabolic cycle), the production of the nucleotide coenzyme ATP, the production of hormonal substances, immunoglobulins and acetylcholine, the absorption of potassium ions, sugars and tocopherol by the lower parts of the digestive system.

Riboflavin (vit B²) – accelerates intercellular exchange processes and improves visual function.

Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is an active coenzyme and promotes protein metabolism and the production of neurotransmitters.

Cyanocobalamin (vit B¹²) – refers to growth factors, is considered a necessary component for the process of blood formation and the formation of red blood cells, ensures the stability of the amino acid and nucleic acid composition of the blood, as well as the production of myelin (the coating of nerve fibers).

The role of folic acid is mainly in the formation of blood cells. In combination with B vitamins (in particular, B¹²), it activates the formation of red blood cells, helps the production of amino acids, polynucleotides, and takes part in the exchange of vitamins B4.

The importance of ascorbic acid (vit C) in oxidation and reduction reactions in the body is really great. This vitamin is a necessary link in the formation and development of the skeletal system, skin and mucous membranes, teeth, capillary network, as well as for the full function of nervous and immune processes.

Calcium and phosphorus salts are an integral component of mineral saturation of the bone apparatus and teeth. The task of calcium ions is to stimulate enzyme substances capable of regulating myocardial tone, promoting the spread of nervous excitation and stabilizing the permeability of cell membranes.

Special instructions

Strengthen your child's body in advance to avoid getting sick in winter. Univit is produced by the Kyiv Vitamin Plant, so it is affordable. It is especially good for preventing diseases associated with poor nutrition, during periods of intensive growth and recovery from illness, and for preventing caries. Remember that a deficiency of vitamins and minerals disrupts metabolism. Univit is a modern vitamin complex developed in accordance with the needs of a child's body for vitamins. Preventive courses are the best measure to prevent the development of chronic diseases.

Domestic scientists at one time conducted key studies in this area. In 1880, N. I. Lunin became such a researcher. He gave laboratory mice whole milk to drink, and they did not get sick, but if they were fed milk components, they began to get sick.

Today, vitamins are sold not even in pharmacies, but simply in supermarkets. People drink them without control. At the same time, it has been proven that superdoses of ascorbic acid soften a cold only when you are already sick, but do not play a role in its prevention.

A loud scandal in the scientific community was also associated with vitamin A, or more precisely, beta-carotene, which turns into vitamin A when it enters the body. American scientists studied how beta-carotene affects the risk of cancer in people who smoke. It was assumed that lung cancer develops less frequently in people taking beta-carotene supplements. But in the experimental group, over 8 years, the incidence of cancer increased, rather than decreased by 18%!

The situation with vitamin E is no better – its excess can cause arterial hypertension. Vitamins are not only medicine, but also poison. Everything depends on the dosage.

What to do? After all, if you put peeled potatoes in water, they will lose all their vitamin C in 2-3 hours. Vitamins are destroyed by light.

Please note that your child should take vitamins year-round only if hypovitaminosis is proven. If not, it is enough to take multivitamins in courses 2-3 times a year. If your child is allergic to vitamins, the drug most likely contains flavorings. Change the drug. Trust the products of large companies.

To choose vitamins, you need to carefully study what each vitamin complex consists of. To relieve the kidneys, you need to drink more water than usual during the course. Children's vitamins come in the form of powder, lozenges and capsules, they taste good, so keep them out of the reach of children! Remember that a lack of vitamins leads to disruption in the functioning of the entire body: ascorbic acid is necessary to prevent delays in the child's mental and physical development and strong immunity, vitamin A guards good vision and the immune system, B1 increases stress resistance, and stress is enough for modern schoolchildren, the school program is very busy, vitamin B6 leads to appetite disorders.

If the pediatrician believes that in addition to natural vitamins, vitamin complexes are necessary, follow this recommendation. It will not be possible to stock up on vitamins in advance. Only vitamins A and E accumulate. If there are not enough vitamins, the child often gets sick for a long time. Let's give a simple example: cabbage, when stored in a room, and not in the refrigerator, loses 25% of vitamin C after 2 days. This happens with all products, especially when heat-treated. That is why vitamin complexes are so necessary.

Keep vitamins in a dark place, at a height where the child cannot reach them. If the child's cheeks are red or diathesis has developed, this drug is not suitable for him. It is better to give vitamins to children under 4 years old in the form of syrup. Chewable tablets are good for children over 4 years old.

Not only vitamins are important, but also minerals, microelements, and macroelements. Calcium will help keep your child's teeth, bones, and nails strong. When a child first encounters a group of children in a kindergarten, he needs vitamin C to avoid getting sick and to have strong joints, muscles, and healthy skin. Iron is the main component of hemoglobin, which is involved in the transport of oxygen throughout the body. Children living in the Kyiv region especially need iodine so that the thyroid gland does not absorb radioactive iodine from Chernobyl.

Shelf life
