Pharmacokinetics
The pharmacokinetic abilities of the multivitamin and mineralizing agent Unicap T are a combination of the properties of its constituent substances. Because of this, it is not possible to conduct analytical studies because of the complexity of tracking all ingredients using special markers or biological assays. Similarly, it is impossible to determine the mechanism and production of metabolism Unicap T.
Dosing and administration
Unicap T is prescribed with a lack of vitamins and minerals in the body. This occurs when the necessary components in foodstuffs are deficient, when the absorption of vital substances is impaired, with individual need for increased intake, and in disorders of metabolic processes.
Adult patients may take Unicap T as a curative or prophylactic medication at the same time as eating. As a rule, 1 tablet per day is prescribed.
Use Unicap T during pregnancy
Unicap T is not prohibited for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, if it is taken at recommended dosages. Do not independently increase the dosage of the drug to pregnant women, because the multivitamin product contains vitamin A, which in large doses (more than 10,000 IU) can lead to violations of the fetal development of the unborn child. It is not recommended during pregnancy to take any other mineral-vitamin preparations against the background of pill treatment Unicap T.
Contraindications
Unicap T is not assigned in the following cases:
- if a patient has a tendency to be allergic to anything from the composition of a multivitamin;
- if there is a severe form of kidney failure (when the creatinine clearance is less than 30 ml per minute);
- in childhood;
- with diagnosed hypervitaminosis.
Side effects Unicap T
When taking the recommended dose of the drug, unwanted effects usually do not appear.
In rare cases, the development of allergic reactions (skin rashes, redness, itching) or dyspeptic disorders (diarrhea, abdominal pain) is possible.
When there are undesirable manifestations, taking a mineral-vitamin preparation should be stopped.
[10]
Overdose
One-time or constant intake of unreasonably high doses of a mineral-vitamin remedy can cause overdose phenomena. Symptoms of this condition can be the following symptoms:
- wave-like nausea, vomiting;
- retardation, fatigue, decreased efficiency;
- intoxication of the body (vomiting, tenderness in the abdomen, dullness of the skin);
- an allergic reaction (hives, itching and flushing of the skin, up to anaphylactic shock).
Intoxication syndrome develops as a result of taking a large amount of the drug with an aggregate content of more than 40 mg of iron.
At the first signs of intoxication, it is recommended to stop taking the drug, wash the stomach or provoke vomiting, and then consult a medical specialist for help.
When iron is intoxicated, the doctor prescribes an intramuscular injection of Deferoxamine in an amount of 1-2 g every 3-12 hours.
Interactions with other drugs
Simultaneous intake of a mineral-vitamin preparation and tetracycline-type antibiotics can worsen the uptake of tetracycline.
Joint administration may worsen the action of Levodopa.
It is not recommended to take additional vitamin-mineral complexes against the background of Unicap T treatment, in order to avoid overdose and hypervitaminosis.
