Obradex is a combined anti-inflammatory drug for use in ophthalmology. ATX Code - S01C A01. Synonyms: Tebrix, Tebronso, Dexatobropt.
Indications The
Indications for the use of this drug are infectious diseases of the eyes: conjunctivitis non-pigmented and allergic), keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis (without epithelial damage), blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, iritis, iridocyclitis, scleritis, episcleritis.
The code is prescribed for inflammation that occurs after eye injuries and ophthalmic operations.
Release form
Form release: eye drops in the bottles-droppers of 5 ml.
Pharmacodynamics
The composition includes active ingredients: tobramycin sulfate and dexamethasone, as well as excipients: benzalkonium chloride (antiseptic), disodium ethylenediaminetetetraacetate (food antioxidant E386), sodium dihydrogen phosphate (food stabilizer E339), sodium metabisulphate (preservative E-223), sodium chloride , distilled water.
Aminoglycoside antibiotic Tobramycin is active against gram-negative and certain gram-positive bacteria; acts on the rRNA of ribosomes of microbial cells and blocks the process of protein synthesis in them, which leads to the death of bacteria. Dexamethasone is a glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and desensitizing properties; reduces the activity of the intracellular enzyme phospholipase A2, which prevents the release of inflammatory mediators. Due to this, anti-edematous effect is achieved and the capillary permeability in the outbreak is normalized
Dosing and administration
