Pharmacodynamics
The pharmacodynamics of the drug Tavipek are as follows:
- The drug is characterized by secretolytic, expectorant, mucolytic, epithelializing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and immunostimulating properties.
- Secretolytic, mucolytic and expectorant action is due to the properties of the active component of lavender oil. Due to the use of this drug, sputum is removed from the upper and lower respiratory tract by increasing mucociliary clearance. As a result, the mucus present in the respiratory tract is liquefied, and the frequency of oscillation of the cilia of the epithelium of the bronchial mucosa increases. All of the above contributes to better release of excess sputum in the respiratory tract and cessation of coughing.
- The epithelializing properties of the drug consist of increasing the level of self-cleaning of the surface of the bronchial epithelium.
- The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action of the drug is possible due to the properties of lavender spike oil that enhance the activity of leukocytes. The use of Tavipek has a beneficial effect on increasing the phagocytic activity of leukocytes, which increases the immune properties of the patient's body, and also stimulates the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory functioning of the cells of the immune system. The main component of lavender oil helps to reduce the activity of bacterial toxins: in staphylococci - alpha-hemolysin, in streptococci - streptolysin, and also helps to remove these substances from the body. The effect of the components of lavender spike oil allows you to suppress the development of most bacteria and fungi in the body (which include mycobacterium tuberculosis). At the same time, there is no disruption of the patient's intestinal microflora, which has a beneficial effect on improving immunity and the quality of the fight against the symptoms of the disease.
- The immunostimulating effect of the drug is due to the effect of the active components of the drug on cellular immunity and increased activity of immune cells. This process includes an increase in the phagocytic function of white blood cells - leukocytes.
