Pharmacodynamics

Also, with the help of carbocysteine, enzyme activity is activated, mucous immunoglobulin is synthesized, providing reliable protection against viral and bacterial agents. When carbocysteine is activated, the elasticity and viscosity of the mucus secreted by the bronchi is normalized. This substance takes part in regenerative processes. It promotes accelerated restoration of inflamed lung tissue.
In case of dry cough, the drug promotes its transition to a wet, productive cough. It is easily removed to the outside, and the inflammatory process is also quickly eliminated. This effect can be achieved by changing the composition of sputum. As for wet cough, during the intake of the drug, it becomes softer. Refers to the group of mucolytic drugs, that is, drugs that promote liquefaction of sputum and its removal to the outside.
The main effect - mucolytic and expectorant, is achieved by activating the enzyme sialic transferase. The mechanism of action of this transferase is to normalize the normal ratio between acidic and neutral sialomucins. Sialomucins are drugs that are among the drugs that restore the elasticity of the bronchi and the viscosity of sputum. It also facilitates the discharge of sputum.
Also, the main properties of the drug are the restoration of the structure of the mucous membranes, stimulation of the ciliated epithelium, which is aimed at restoring mucociliary clearance. The drug also helps restore sulfhydryl groups, which contribute to increased mucus removal and normalization of immunoglobulin secretion.
