Silocast is used to treat hair loss. The drug has a complex structure - it contains elements such as levanol with castor oil, as well as dimexide. The active therapeutic effect of these components leads to the stimulation of hair growth processes.
The dimethyl sulfoxide component improves the solubility of the active element, which allows it to penetrate the epidermis into the hair follicles and roots without complications. [1]
Release form
The release is sold in the form of a liquid for external processing - inside bottles with a capacity of 50 or 100 ml. There is 1 such bottle inside the box.
Dosing and administration
The medication is used exclusively externally. Shake the bottle of liquid thoroughly before the treatment procedure.
Treatment is carried out by blotting the affected areas with a cotton swab or a disc soaked in liquid; this procedure should be carried out 2 times a day - in the morning and then in the evening. Taking into account the size of the affected area in focal alopecia, the daily portion of Silokast can be in the range of 1-5 g of liquid.
The duration of the treatment cycle is determined by the patient's personal reaction, the intensity of the disease, the duration of the development of the disease, as well as the patient's age. On average, it usually lasts within 3-6 months. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated according to the above scheme.

Not for use on persons under 15 years of age.
Use Silocast during pregnancy
It is forbidden to use Silokast during pregnancy.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- strong personal sensitivity in relation to dimexide with castor oil or levanol;
- suffered in the recent past myocardial infarction;
- elderly people (over 60 years old).
Side effects Silocast
Side symptoms such as itching, severe burning or dermatitis may appear.
Storage conditions
Silokast must be kept in a dark place, with temperatures not exceeding 25 ° C.
Shelf life
Silocast can be used for a 24-month term from the date of manufacture of the drug substance.
