Silocast is used for therapy against baldness. The medicine has a complex structure – it contains such elements as livanol with castor oil, as well as dimexide. The active therapeutic effect of these components leads to stimulation of hair growth processes.
The component dimethyl sulfoxide helps improve the solubility of the active element, which allows it to penetrate the epidermis into the hair follicles and roots without complications. [ 1 ]
Indications Silocast
It is used as a therapeutic substance in cases of baldness and alopecia of a focal nature - in both men and women.
Release form
The product is sold as a liquid for external treatment - inside bottles with a capacity of 50 or 100 ml. Inside the box - 1 such bottle.
Dosing and administration
The medicine is used externally only. Before the treatment procedure, shake the bottle with the liquid thoroughly.
The treatment is carried out by blotting the affected areas with a cotton swab or disk soaked in liquid; this procedure should be carried out 2 times a day - in the morning and then in the evening. Taking into account the size of the affected area in case of focal alopecia, the daily dose of Silokast can be in the range of 1-5 g of liquid.
The duration of the treatment cycle is determined by the patient's personal reaction, the intensity of the disease, the duration of the disease, and the patient's age. On average, it usually lasts between 3 and 6 months. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated according to the above scheme.

Not for use in persons under 15 years of age.
Use Silocast during pregnancy
It is prohibited to use Silocast during pregnancy.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- strong personal sensitivity to dimethyl sulfoxide with castor oil or livanol;
- a recent history of myocardial infarction;
- elderly people (over 60 years old).
Side effects Silocast
Side effects such as itching, severe burning or dermatitis may occur.
Storage conditions
Silocast should be stored in a dark place at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life
Silocast can be used for a period of 24 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal substance.
Analogues
Analogues of the drug are Alloton, Psoricap and Fladex with Minoxidil Inteli, as well as Graphites Cosmoplex with, Regaine, Pilfood with Capsiol, Elidel and Mirvaso with Friederm zinc.

Silocast is considered an effective medicine for the development of alopecia - reviews indicate that it actively stimulates hair growth processes.
The disadvantages include the presence of negative manifestations that develop when using the drug - dermatitis, burning and itching.
