There are hairy types in the male and female types: Male hair is characterized by the growth of long hair on the face (beard and mustache), as well as coarser cannon hair on the chest, back, legs.
Alopecia (baldness) - absence or thinning of hair on the skin in places of usual growth (more often on the scalp). The causes of rapid hair loss can be the following conditions.
- Taking medication (eg, oral contraceptives, anticoagulants)
- Active antitumor therapy (X-ray therapy, antitumor drugs).
- Long-term use of cytotoxic drugs in the treatment of non-tumor diseases.
- Stress (physical or mental).
- Endocrine pathology (hypo- or hyperthyroidism, hypopituitarism, hyperplasia of the adrenal cortex).
- Systemic lupus erythematosus.
- Almentary factors (eating disorders, iron deficiency, zinc).
- Infections (primarily syphilis, various dermatomycoses).
