Reosorbilact is a plasma substitute of crystalloid nature. It is a complex drug, which is balanced in its ionic structure; it contains an energy carrier with a buffer.

Sodium is the major extracellular cation, while potassium is the major intracellular cation.[ 1 ]

Calcium is involved in the processes of muscle contraction, the movement of impulses within nerve tissue, and blood clotting.

Magnesium is required for the metabolism of carbohydrates.

Indications Reosorbylact

It is used to correct hypovolemia due to shock (shock may be of burn, traumatic or toxic origin) and in cases of acute blood loss. It is also used to eliminate symptoms of poisoning (burn pathology, infectious infections, active phase of hepatitis and sepsis) and to reduce blood viscosity in cases of endarteritis, thrombophlebitis, etc.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of an infusion liquid, inside vials with a capacity of 0.2 or 0.4 l.

Pharmacodynamics

The level of extracellular fluid depends on sodium levels: it includes 92% of all cations and about half of all active elements located outside cells and possessing osmotic activity. In combination with the Cl anion, it becomes a very important component required to maintain homeostasis processes.

Calcium helps to strengthen the strength of vascular membranes, and in addition, prevents the appearance of swelling associated with inflammation.

Potassium is extremely important in the implementation of excitation of muscle cells with neurons. It is a participant in the metabolism of carbohydrates with proteins.

Magnesium stimulates the activity of a large number of enzymes and also slows down the movement of neural impulses.

Lactate anions synthesize hydrogen ions, which allows the patient to get rid of the signs of acidosis. In comparison with bicarbonate, these elements have a slower effect, without causing a sharp change in the pH of the environment.

Sorbitol is a natural sugar alcohol that participates in intrahepatic metabolic processes. An energy source independent of insulin. It prevents platelet aggregation and has an osmotic diuretic effect.

The use of Reosorbilact helps to stabilize the amount of circulating fluid, eliminate acidosis, improve microcirculation processes and reduce poisoning.

Dosing and administration

Reosorbilact for adults is administered intravenously - by jet or through a dropper. In case of shock, a single dose of the drug is 0.6-1 l; in case of chronic hepatitis - 0.4 l; in case of blood loss - up to 1.5 l; if arterial or venous lesions are observed, up to 0.6 l of the substance is administered.

Children under 6 years of age can use the drug in a dose of 10 ml/kg; children aged 6-12 years - half of the adult dosage. Persons over 12 years of age are prescribed adult doses of the drug.

  • Application for children

There is only limited information regarding the use of drugs in pediatrics.

Use Reosorbylact during pregnancy

There is no information regarding the possibility of using the drug during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • alkalosis;
  • strong personal sensitivity to the components of the drug;
  • diseases that cause a tendency to develop bleeding (hemorrhagic colitis, ulcers and severe liver diseases);
  • elevated blood pressure;
  • decompensation of cardiac function;
  • intracerebral hemorrhage.

Side effects Reosorbylact

Side effects include alkalosis and allergy symptoms.

Overdose

In case of intoxication, symptoms of alkalosis are observed, in the event of which it is necessary to stop the infusion.

Interactions with other drugs

Reosorbilact cannot be combined with liquids containing phosphate and carbonate anions.

Storage conditions

Reosorbilact must be stored in a dark place, at temperatures in the range of 2-25°C.

Shelf life

Reosorbilact can be used for a period of 2 years from the date of sale of the therapeutic substance.

Analogues

An analogue of the drug is Sorbilact.

Reviews

Reosorbilact is usually used in extremely severe, critical conditions in patients, so they are not able to track its therapeutic effect and leave a review about it. Although sometimes the drug is used in the treatment of other disorders - for example, combination therapy for psoriasis. In these cases, the comments of those treated are mostly positive.
