Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamic data of Rabidgem 10 indicate that the drug belongs to the category of antisecretory compounds, does not have the properties of H2 receptors or cholinergic antagonists, but suppresses gastric acid. Inhibition of acid secretion occurs through inhibition of gastric H + -, K + ATPase on the secretory surface of the parietal cells of the stomach.

The above enzyme is related to proton or acid pumps, so rabeprazole is classified as a gastric inhibitor. The active substance blocks the secretion of gastric acid at the last stage. In stomach cells, rabeprazole is activated at pH = 3D 1.2, the half-life is about 78 seconds.

Interactions with other drugs

Interaction of Rabidgem 10 with other drugs is possible only with the permission of a doctor. Since Rabidgem 10 causes significant inhibition of gastric juice secretion, it can change the effectiveness of drugs whose absorption depends on the pH level of gastric juice. For example, when used with digoxin and ketoconazole, their bioavailability and concentration in blood plasma decrease. Therefore, the doses of all drugs should be selected by a doctor.

If rabeprazole is taken simultaneously with antacids, this does not entail significant changes in the concentration of both drugs in the blood plasma.
