Internal reception can cause suppression of the respiratory center function. If you use the drug orally or intravenously in a large dose, a person develops a coma. It has its own symptoms: cold-skinned, cold skin, lowering of temperature, facial hyperemia, involuntary discharge of urine or feces, vomiting, pupils narrowing (or widening if respiratory disorders have a more severe form). In addition, a frequent but weak pulse rhythm is observed, as well as a delayed respiratory rhythm and horizontal nystagmus. Occasionally, seizures, suffocation by vomit, and laryngospasm may occur rarely. Mechanical suffocation can lead to a stopping of breathing, as a result of which the functioning of the cardiovascular system may be disrupted.

In case of intoxication with ethanol after oral administration, it is necessary to induce vomiting, and then perform the procedure of gastric lavage. In the case of severe poisoning, resuscitation is required.

With the combined use of Pharmasept with oral antidiabetic drugs (aminophenolsulfonic acid derivatives), a hypoglycemic coma may occur in the patient. The use of Pharmasept with aspirin increases the possibility of developing a gastric ulcer, and when combined with thiamine, the properties of the latter become weaker.
