Penzital prevents incomplete digestion of food, which allows you to remove the load on the pancreas, and at the same time relieves of disease-causing gas formation, improving the activity of the gastrointestinal tract.

  • improper diet;
  • preparation for performing fluoroscopy;
  • dyspepsia associated with hepatic disease ;
  • preparation of the gastrointestinal tract for ultrasound.

Release form

The release of the medication is made in tablets, 20, 30 or 100 pieces inside the box.

Pharmacodynamics

Under the influence exerted by pancreatin in relation to food entering the intestine, a full-fledged process of decomposition of fats with complex carbohydrates, as well as proteins to simple elements that are easily absorbed, is realized. [2]

Dosing and administration

The medication should be taken immediately before a meal, but it is also allowed to use it after it. It is forbidden to drink Penzital with liquids that have an alkaline form.

The serving size is selected by the gastroenterologist, taking into account the intensity of the enzyme deficiency, as well as the dietary characteristics of the patient. An adult is usually prescribed 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. It is allowed to increase the daily portion up to 16 tablets.

For children, portions need to be selected only personally. On average, in pediatrics, they are prescribed:

  • age 10-14 years - 2 tablets 2 times a day.

  • Application for children

Penzital can be administered during pregnancy only if there are strict indications, when the benefits to the woman are more likely than the risks to the fetus.

Contraindications

Overdose

Interactions with other drugs

Antacids containing Mg, Al or Ca ions weaken the effectiveness of the drug.

The combination with antithrombotic drugs weakens the therapeutic effect of these drugs.

The use in combination with aspirin leads to a decrease in its drug effect.

Non-selective substances that slow down the reverse monoamine uptake, when administered together with Penzital, cause dangerous lethargy.

The use simultaneously with m-anticholinergics leads to the potentiation of anticholinergic activity.

Alkaline liquids cause a violation of the pharmacodynamic parameters of the drug.

Storage conditions

Penzital must be stored at temperatures not exceeding 25 ° C.

Penzital can be used within 36 months from the date of manufacture of the therapeutic product.
