Pectusin is a remedy used in case of a cold, against the background of which a cough develops.

Elements of the drug, getting into the oral cavity, cause irritation of peripheral neuronal receptors (development of afferent influence), as a result of which the inflammatory process in the upper part of the respiratory tract is weakened, and the coughing process is simplified. In addition, the drug has a weak antibacterial effect.

Indications Pectusin

It is used for the treatment of tracheitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis with laryngitis, tonsillitis and other diseases affecting the upper respiratory tract.

Release form

The drug is produced in tablets, 10 pieces per pack.

Dosing and administration

The medication should be taken sublingually - kept under the tongue until the tablet dissolves completely.

The dosage of the drug is 1 tablet taken 3-4 times a day. The duration of the treatment cycle is determined by the intensity of clinical symptoms and the patient's personal reaction.

  • Application for children

Pectusin is not used in persons under 7 years of age.

Use Pectusin during pregnancy

The medication may be prescribed during lactation or pregnancy after a preliminary assessment of the possible benefits and risks.

Contraindications

  • BA;
  • diabetes mellitus;
  • laryngitis of a stenosing form;
  • spasmophilia;
  • allergy symptoms associated with eucalyptus oil and menthol, as well as other elements of the drug.

Side effects Pectusin

Only occasionally do side effects develop (urticaria or itching affecting the face). In the event of such manifestations or the occurrence of other negative symptoms, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Storage conditions

Pectusin is stored in a dark place, out of the reach of small children. The temperature level is standard.

Shelf life

Pectusin can be used for a period of 36 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal product.
