Excessive sweating of the feet indicates the occurrence of some disease, which can be either a simple fungus or a pathology of the nervous system. So only doctors can identify the cause and prescribe treatment in such cases. But in order to reduce the intensity of foot sweating, you can temporarily use such means as foot odor ointment - it blocks the activity of sweat glands, eliminating excessive sweating.
Indications for use
To eliminate sweaty feet, medications can be used, including foot odor ointment. Ointments are generally very effective and quickly eliminate unpleasant odor, but in addition to this, some disadvantages of such products should be taken into account. Among the main negative properties of such drugs:
- Strong disinfectant, deodorizing and drying effect;
- Often such ointments or creams contain components that can have a negative impact on human health - this must be taken into account before use;
- Many medical ointments should not be used by people who suffer from allergies, as their skin may be hypersensitive to some components of the drug;
- In addition to causing rashes and irritations on the skin as a result of use, ointments can dry it out a lot;
- Not every remedy has a long shelf life.
For excessive sweating of the feet, medications such as Formidron, Teymurov Paste, and FormaGel are recommended.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
The properties of Teymurov's ointment are determined by the components included in its composition.
