Release form
Nasik for children is available in the form of an intranasal spray, 10 ml each in a bottle with a spray nozzle. The drug liquid is a clear, colorless solution with the main constituents xylometazoline and dexpanthenol. One gram of fluid contains 0.5 mg of xylometadolin and 50 mg of dexpanthenol.
Pharmacodynamics
Nasik for children is a rhinological preparation that combines the properties of sympathomimetic and analogue of pantothenic acid. This combination allows you to achieve vasoconstrictive and anti-edematous effect.
Xylometazoline g / x exhibits sympathomimetic properties, facilitating nasal breathing and accelerating the excretion of mucosal secretions from the nose.
Dexpanthenol has biological activity, analogous to pantothenic acid. This vitamin accelerates metabolic processes, promotes the production of antibodies against the disease and strengthens immunity at the local level.
Also, the drug Nazik for children provides protection of the superficial mucous layers and helps the early recovery of tissues.
Pharmacokinetics
The effect of the drug is observed already after 5-10 minutes after spraying.
Some of the active ingredient of xylometazoline undergoes systemic absorption, which can affect the work of the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
Dexpanthenol binds to plasma proteins and spreads through the circulatory system. It is assumed that approximately 65% of the dose is excreted through the kidneys and about 35% - with feces. Accurate data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug Nasik for children are absent.
