Pharmacodynamics
Important elements in the human body are magnesium cations, which improve metabolic processes. They strengthen membranes and restore cell organelles.
Magnesium compounds are necessary for regulating metabolic processes in almost all systems, including nerve, bone and other tissues. Magnesium improves the functioning of nerves - auditory and visual. Protects the heart from oxygen starvation and ischemia.
Magnesium has an anticoagulant effect and prevents vascular occlusion. The calming effect of the drug can reduce the excitability of the nervous system.
Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates and lipids, as well as the synthesis of hemoglobin. A deficiency of this vitamin is the cause of seborrheic dermatitis on the face, contributes to the manifestation of hypochromic anemia, this is especially relevant for children. These problems can be more pronounced in the absence of the trace element magnesium.
The use of vitamin B6 and magnesium in one preparation helps to enhance the mutual action of each of these components. Thus, vitamin B6 helps to increase the magnesium content in the blood, while delaying its excretion in the urine. Magnesium is needed to speed up the transformation of vitamin B6 in the liver. The combined use of magnesium and vitamin B6 compensates for the deficiency of these substances, accelerating absorption in the gastrointestinal tract and faster entry into cells.
Pharmacokinetics
Magnesium has good absorption. The presence of intracellular magnesium greatly exceeds the amount of extracellular magnesium.
Blood contains 55% ionized magnesium. 35% is bound to plasma protein, and the remaining 15% is complexed with anions.

If there is a need to simultaneously replenish the deficiency of magnesium and calcium, then first replenish the deficiency of magnesium, and then take calcium preparations. If the patient has been diagnosed with moderate renal failure, the drug should be used very carefully to avoid hypermagnesemia. It is possible to use tetracycline antibiotics and Magnefar B6, but the time between taking one and taking the other drug should be more than three hours.

Driving vehicles requires concentration. Magnefar B6, when used in the indicated dosages, does not affect the ability to drive a car.

Overdose
With stable functioning of the endocrine system, magnesium in large doses does not lead to poisoning.
Overdose occurs with a very large increase in the dose and is manifested by symptoms of acute abdomen, low blood pressure, muscle weakness and shortness of breath, arrhythmia, abnormal temperature and pain in the extremities.
Calcium salts are used as an antidote for magnesium overdose and are administered intravenously.
Interactions with other drugs
When Magnefar B6 is used simultaneously with theophylline, tetracycline and quinolone drugs, anticoagulants, phosphates and iron-containing agents, calcium salts, mutual absorption decreases. The absorption of levodopa with parallel administration of Magnefar B6 is also reduced. Aminoglycosides, diuretics, cisplatin provoke increased excretion in urine. Simultaneous use of Magnefar B6 slows the excretion of amphetamines, ephedrines, quinine and quinidine.
