Livenziale is a drug that demonstrates a powerful hepatoprotective and membrane stabilizing effect.

The composition of the drug contains natural phospholipids obtained from soybeans. About 93-95% of all medicinal phospholipids are phosphatidylcholine, which has a high index of unsaturated fatty acids (α-linolenic together with linoleic and cis-9-octadecene). [1]

Phospholipids from the composition of drugs have a structure similar to the internal phospholipids of the body, but they have a higher functional activity (due to linoleic acid in the 1st-2nd positions). [2]

Indications Livenziale

It is used for hepatic fatty degeneration of a different nature (also in the case of hepatic damage in diabetics), at the initial stage of hepatic cirrhosis , with hepatitis in the active or chronic phase, as well as in the case of hepatic intoxication.

It can be used in persons who require surgery due to a disease associated with a gastrointestinal tract or liver.

Can be used during pregnancy - in case of toxicosis.

In addition, the medication is prescribed as an adjuvant for people with radiation poisoning or psoriasis.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of a liquid for parenteral use - inside glass ampoules with a volume of 5 ml. The box contains 5 such ampoules.

Livenziale forte

Livenziale forte is produced in the form of capsules for oral administration; inside the cell plate contains 10 capsules; in a box - 3 or 5 such records.

Pharmacodynamics

By directly incorporating natural phospholipids into the structure of the destroyed walls of hepatocytes, and in addition, by restoring the protective activity of the membranes, the drug realizes its membrane stabilizing, and at the same time hepatoprotective effect. The drug increases the functionality and plasticity of the walls of hepatocytes, and at the same time stabilizes their strength.

Livenziale demonstrates some antioxidant activity, prevents damage to liver cell walls under the influence of peroxide compounds, and at the same time promotes healing processes. [3]

By stabilizing the values of lipoproteins, the drug prevents the appearance of hypertriglyceridemia and -cholesterolemia, and at the same time helps to slow down the pathological accumulation of cholesterol inside the tissues and regulates its movement from the vascular walls, activating the effect of the esterifying cholesterol or the lipolytic enzyme system.

The drug reduces the rates of activation of sinusoidal cells and reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL1b, as well as TNFa inside these cells.

Along with this, natural phospholipids have some antifibrotic effect.

Pharmacokinetics

After ingestion, approximately 90% of natural phospholipids are absorbed inside the small intestine. Indicators of the plasma Cmax of the active element of the drug are recorded after 6-24 hours from the moment of oral administration.

The half-life of the choline element is approximately 66 hours, and the half-life of unsaturated fatty acids is 32 hours.

Dosing and administration

Application of capsules.

The drug should be taken orally - swallowing the capsules whole (you cannot damage their shell, as this can reduce the bioavailability of drugs). To get the maximum medicinal effect, the capsules are taken with food, washed down with plain water.

The duration of the therapeutic cycle and the size of the dosage are selected by the attending physician.

You need to use the medication in an initial dosage of 2 capsules (3 times a day). When the patient's condition improves, the transition to a supporting portion is made - 1 capsule 3 times a day.

The therapeutic cycle should continue for a period of 3 months. If necessary, it can be extended or repeated after some time.

In psoriasis, 2 capsules are usually administered (3 times a day) for a period of 14 days. In the next 10 days, Liventiale must be administered in the form of parenteral fluid (in combination with PUVA therapy). At the end of the injection cycle, for another 2 months, you need to take oral capsules of the medication.

The use of an injection liquid of a medication.

The liquid must be administered parenterally. Before use, sensory testing is required (only clear liquid that does not contain particles can be injected). The drug is administered at a low speed, intravenously.

If the medicine needs to be dissolved, the patient's blood should be used for this. If blood cannot be used, it is allowed to use 5% xylitol or 5% (10%) glucose. Breeding is done in a ratio of 1 to 1.

The duration of the treatment course and the selection of the dosage of the medication are determined by the attending doctor.

5-10 ml of medicinal fluid is usually injected per day. In the case of a severe pathology, the daily portion is increased to 10-20 ml of the substance.

For a single injection, a maximum of 10 ml of Livenziale is allowed.

It is allowed to use the medicine parenterally for no more than 10 days. At the end of the injection cycle, further therapy is carried out with the use of medication capsules (in general, the treatment cycle lasts within 3-6 months).

In the case of psoriasis, treatment begins with the use of capsules of the drug (in a period of 2 weeks), and then 5 ml of parenteral fluid is injected per day for a period of 10 days (combined with PUVA therapy). After that, therapy continues with the use of medicinal capsules.

In the treatment of psoriasis, the total duration of the treatment course is about 3 months.

• Application for children

In pediatrics, capsules can only be used for persons over 12 years of age.

Parenteral fluid is used exclusively for people over the age of 3 (but for children under 12 years of age, it is used very carefully, since there is a high probability of signs of intolerance).

Use Livenziale during pregnancy

The drug has no embryotoxic and teratogenic activity. Capsules or parenteral fluid may be prescribed by a pregnant doctor, after assessing the likely benefits and risks.

Livenziale can be used while breastfeeding.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

• diagnosed severe intolerance to the elements of the medication;
• use in persons with intrahepatic cholestasis.

Side effects Livenziale

Livenziale is usually tolerated without complications. Sometimes the introduction of drugs caused the appearance of pain and discomfort in the epigastric zone, stool disorders and nausea, and in addition to this general allergy symptoms, including epidermal itching, urticaria and Quincke's edema.

Overdose

The use of excessively high dosages can cause potentiation of the negative manifestations of the drug.

The drug has no antidote. In the event of severe symptoms of an overdose, symptomatic procedures should be performed.

Interactions with other drugs

Parenteral fluid is not compatible with electrolyte solutions.

It is forbidden to mix a parenteral drug with other substances administered in the same way inside the same syringe (the only exceptions are liquids that are used for making infusions).

Storage conditions

Livenziale in the form of parenteral fluid should be stored at temperatures in the range of 2-8oC. It is prohibited to freeze the medicine.

The capsules are required to be kept at a temperature level between 15-25 ° C.

Shelf life

Livenziale in both forms of release can be used within 36 months from the date of manufacture of the pharmaceutical element.

Among the advantages of the medication, they note its high therapeutic effectiveness - it improves test readings and removes pain.
