Linden flowers are included in the subgroup of antiseptic medicines. They contain a combination of various bioactive elements, including flavonoids and saponins with essential oils, polysaccharides, carotenoids with tannins, etc.

The above-described bioactive elements of the medicine have a pronounced disinfectant, choleretic, anti-inflammatory, and diaphoretic effect. At the same time, they provide a mild sedative effect and potentiate the secretion of gastric juice.

Indications Linden flowers

It is used for oral administration in case of bronchitis or colds, as well as for external treatment in case of laryngitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis or gingivitis (part of combination treatment).

Release form

The medicinal product is produced in the form of plant raw materials - 50 g inside packs; in addition, it is sold inside special filter bags with a volume of 1.5 g - 20 pieces inside a box.

Dosing and administration

It is necessary to pour 2 tablespoons of raw materials into a container, then add 0.2 l of boiling water, close it with a lid and insist on a water bath for 15 minutes. The finished tincture is cooled for 45 minutes, after which the mixture is filtered and the remains are squeezed out. Then the volume of the tincture is brought to 0.2 l using ordinary boiled water.

The medicine should be taken warm, 2-3 times a day, after meals: teenagers from 14 years old and adults - 0.5-1 glass of LS; for children 12-14 years old - ⅓ glass; for 7-12 years old - ¼ glass; for 3-7 years old - 2 tablespoons of tincture.

When gargling the throat and mouth, the procedure is performed 3-4 times a day.

The tincture must be shaken before use.

When using filter bags, pour boiling water (0.2 l) over 3 pieces, cover the container with a lid, and then leave to infuse for 15 minutes.

Use warm, 2-3 times a day, after meals. Persons over 14 years of age should drink 1 glass; a child aged 12-14 years – 0.5 glass; 7-12 years – ⅓ glass; persons aged 3-7 years – ¼ glass.

Gargling of the throat and mouth is performed 3-4 times per day.

The duration of the therapeutic cycle is selected individually by the attending physician.

The medication can be prescribed to persons over 3 years of age.

Use Linden flowers during pregnancy

Use in pregnant women is permitted only with the permission of a doctor, in situations where the probable benefit is more expected than the risks of complications for the fetus.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated for use in cases of severe intolerance to the bioactive components of the drug, as well as in cases of hay fever.

Side effects Linden flowers

The use of the drug may provoke the appearance of signs of allergy (including rashes, epidermal edema, itching, and hyperemia). If violations occur, you should stop using Linden Flowers and consult a medical specialist.

Storage conditions

Linden flowers should be kept in a place closed to children. Temperature level – no more than 30°С.

Shelf life

Linden flowers can be used for a 2-year period from the moment of realization of the therapeutic substance. The finished tincture (at a temperature range of 8-15 ° C) has a shelf life of 48 hours.
