Release form

The first form of release is capsules, one unit of which contains 120 million spores of lactic acid bacteria (Lactic Acid Bacillus, Bacillus coagulans, Lb.sporogene), as well as 0.015 mg of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) and 1.5 mg of folic acid.

The second is a packaged form of release. Inside the capsule or bag there is a crystalline powder. It can have a different shade from pale yellowish to yellow and pink. After dissolving the powder, you can feel a pleasant strawberry flavor.

The capsule shell contains strawberry flavorings, sucrose, which improves taste, as well as colloidal silicon dioxide and aspartame.

Pharmacodynamics

Lactobacilli Lactobacillus sporogenes and Bacillus coagulans behave as antagonists towards pathogenic and opportunistic microflora.

Pharmacokinetics

Dosing and administration

The drug Lactovit Forte should be taken orally one capsule or one sachet twice a day. The maximum single dose can be two capsules (or two sachets).

The drug in capsule form is not prescribed to children under two years of age; preference is given to sachets. The daily dosage is one sachet. For newborns, the drug is diluted with mother's milk.

For children over two years old, it is recommended to take one capsule (one sachet) twice a day.

For maximum effectiveness, the manufacturer recommends taking the medicine 40 minutes before meals.

It is advisable to take Lactovit Forte at the same time, maintaining the same intervals.

If dysbacteriosis is diagnosed, the duration of drug treatment is usually three to four weeks.

In the presence of ulcerative colitis, the duration of the treatment course is six to eight weeks.

In the presence of an intestinal infection, the duration of drug treatment is four to six weeks.

If normal bowel function is not fully restored within the recommended time period, treatment continues, but at half the dosage. And it can be extended to one and a half to two months.

The capsules should be taken with a sufficient amount of water at room temperature.

In case of risk of developing dysbacteriosis during pregnancy, the drug is taken for five to eight days in the amount of two capsules (two sachets) once a day.

Use Lactovit forte during pregnancy

As studies have shown, the use of the probiotic Lactovit Forte during pregnancy is safe and recommended for use by pregnant women and women during lactation.

Contraindications

There are few contraindications to the use of the probiotic Lactovit Forte:

1. Individual intolerance to cyanocobalamin.

The pharmacological capabilities of drugs used for tuberculosis diseases (PAS) are deteriorating. A similar picture is observed with the simultaneous use of a probiotic with pyrimidines and/or phenytoins.
